@senorhosh I'm not quite sure myself, but I think it was because they wanted to try to spare Saruman's life, so when the servant dude started to ruthlesly stab him, he had to shoot him with an arrow to stop him. Probably wasn't the best way to do it, but I doubt yelling "Stop!" would do anything. And the servant guy was a pretty wicked person as well.

Grima and Saruman's relationship in the scene is pretty much a "Whore/Pimp" thing, when you think about it...

Pimp bitch slaps Whore and say that he is to remain being his bottom bitch. Pimp tries to make a deal with the cops. Whore gets pissed at Pimp and stabs him. The cops shoot Whore. Pimp falls into a spiked wheel of death...

Okay, that last part doesn't exactly add up.

@Soldierlozer no there is 5 wizzards that got sent to middle earth ,it stems from when saruman says to gandalf somthing about him wanting the keys to orthanc ,the crowns of the seven kings and the rods(staffs) of the 5 wizards..although radagast was only in the story for a short time ,5 wizards where mentioned in the books and movie(extended version),and the companion guide only mentioned that the other 2 where blue and left to the east even further than mordor .look up ishtari

@reksub10 Alatar and Pallando? Oh yes, I'd love to hear of them and their secret work in the East aswell. Apparently they were send to help Men such as the Easterlings to rebel against Sauron. Also, according to Tolkien's latest thoughts on the matter, they did extraordinaly well and managed to get so many people free of Sauron's power that his armies were drastically weakened and thus the West could withold long enough. Sounds a pretty awesome story-not-told, huh?

In the book, Saruman didn't die then. He terrorized the Shire after the Ring was destroyed and Frodo and his friends fought Saruman. Grima killed Saruman in the Shire no Isengard.
