My dog could be her twin. The only differences are that mine has a straight tail and has a reddish color on her ears and tip of her tail. I was wondering how you figured out she was part coyote.. People always tell me she looks like she has coyote I her, but I want to know for sure.

@DazeMay5 When I found Sugar as a puppy at Arizona Cocker Rescue. I was told that a lady had brought in a litter of four puppies, I met them all, that her purebred American Eskimo had given birth to after mating with a coyote. Sugar has very light tan stripes on her ears and a quarter sized tan spot on her head. You can get your dog genetically tested for $65 at your local Petco but I enjoy the mystery.

How is it possible that the dog is white ? white with black pigmentation is recessiv to all agouti-colours

@pantarhei75 she has black skin around her eyes and lips and on her nose but her Mother who was pure American Eskimo also had that. You can't see it in the video but she has tan 1/8" horizontal stripes and a small quarter sized spot of tan behind her ear.

I have not had her genetically tested because I have not found a lab I trust yet. I admit my assertion she is a true coydog comes from AZ Cocker Rescue where I got her from when she was eight weeks old.

@pantarhei75 had a black wolf 98% that mated with my solid white siberian husky. she had 8 pups only 3 was not white. and half did not have at least one blue eye.

@74drat I wonder about such an unusual breeding programm to get a 98 % Wolf. 5 generations back-cross to the wolf are 96,875 %, 6 generations back-cross are 98,4375 % so I think you mean 6 generations. Are you sure about the genetics of these 6 wolfes used ? One way or another, the 98 % wolf carries solid white and blue eyes. You have only 2 possibilities to get blue eyes : the recessiv blues eyes (husky) or the blue eyes of merle dogs (australian sheperd or dachshund ) excuse my bad english.

@pantarhei75 the breeder i received her from had a family tree that was very elaberate.she was the solid black wolf with a white phenix on her chest. She was a great wolf minus the cat killing that started when she was 4 years old and had to get rid of her.her name was luna. I still have 2 of her pups from 2 differant litters first litter she had 5 solid white ones, 1 black with her markings,1 that looked like a shepard and the one we keep had actual wolf markings and he has 1 blue eye and half

@pantarhei75 the father here is siberian husky solid white with blue eyes. the second litter she only had 2 white pups 2 beatiful red pups with blue eyes 3 blacks and one that looked like a shepard.and we were left with one solid black male out of that litter. I got the male to bred with our other female husky,but he was in love with the wolf. lol so much for selling full stock dogs.

I feed her the Eukanaba Lamb and Rice with fish oil. She will eat just about anything. She requires a lot of running to stay in shape. Her temperament is very good but she loves to chew on bones and has a strong bite when playing.

@dogparkriot mine looks very much like yours save in color. Mine kept her coyote colors. but body shape and hair outside of color is all the same.

Do you have to feed this type of coydog a special diet to keep them healthy?

@seth61682 it's almost as if they're made for all climates and regions. You can even use them for small game hunting. They have an instinct for hunting, all they need is the proper training. they're smart, and adapt quickly. Great family dogs too. Mine just loves kids, pretty much anyone that we come across she just has to greet. she's not agressive by any means. Never once has she growled at me or anyone for that matter. Just love her.
