  • masterpiece...

  • @FiveZylinderRacing

I`m talking about original fabrication, these engines were built by Lehmann Engineering in Germany and this Audi Sport E2 still has fabricated parts from an ex Schmidt Motor Sport mechanic, no UK parts

  • Paul, that's not true that these engines need complete fabrication these days. There are tons of legit aftermarket companies that make good forged 20v turbo Audi five cylinder parts. Trust me on this.

  • Yes very simple 4x4 technology but close to the best available in 1985, basic 50/50 torque split, and yes in typical Audi fashion the engine sits so far forward creating massive understeer, this car by the was was down at 420BHP not the full 550BHP not just for this event but basically to try and preserve engine parts as most now need completely fabricating

  • Five cylinders sound is amazing! I think that noise is better than a V8!

  • Ez nm tud vezetni. Majd Walter Röhrl keresztbe rakta volna....

  • first turbo and first 4wd car for rally

  • The quattro, an awesome car with awesome sounds!!! :-D

  • Dai Llewellyn was told to take it easy prior to going out, the car is part of the UKs heritage collection and valud at 250K

  • the engine screams!!!

  • best car sound ever

  • Power From The God's

  • He should of been drifting that fuker around that bend!!

  • you no that 5*

  • @mikefranky you clearly don't know anything about driving.

  • @veyronman ..I think i do,thats why i got 9 thumbs up!!

And you got ,erm....1 thumbs down...lol!!!

  • @mikefranky i think youll find that its incredibly hard to drift an audi quattro S1 E2 with the amount of downforce it generates, also its quite nose heavy, and its pretty much priceless. ha

  • @mangaloveFTW ..Bloody hell i left that comment over 2 years ago!

I forgot about this epic car,as for downforce it mainly comes into play at higher speeds so you can drift this s1 with no problem even if being nose heavy and with its mega Bhp engine!

As for price read paultatters comment below! ha...

  • @mikefranky jesus! they say its worth "about that" but put it in an auction with two wealthy rally car collectors and it could go for stupid money!

still, probably the most violent rally car of all time. just an absolute monster.

  • @mikefranky This was very, very rudimentary AWD, the group B Audi was one of the hardest cars to drive.

  • @Cruxalicious ...What does rudimentary mean?

  • @mikefranky Very basic and primitive. All the one on the Quattro does is drive the four wheels at a constant.

  • @Cruxalicious ....Cheers for reply and info.

I just love watching these 80's group B cars....Bloody hell i wish they would bring them back!!

  • @mikefranky Only Rohrl and Blomqvist can do it.

  • the noise is absolutely epic

  • I live in Stockholm, Sweden and went on a roadtrip to southern Germany just to see the S1 in the MuseumMobile in Ingolstadt. But it was useless because there were no S1 there by the time :( But atleast I saw the IMSA car!!

  • The IMSA Audi 90 is even better!

  • the IMSA is a race car this is a rally car, not fair to compare really

  • what a sound XD

  • Love the powerslide out of the turn :D

  • fukc S1 is realy amazing... big love for this monster...

  • Amazing sound!

  • Michelle Mouton is the no doubt perfect Quattro driver...!!

  • I don´t think any of us will own one of these cars, there is only 20 of them in the world. But I saw an S1 for sale and it was 250.000 euros.

  • You can always build your own, an exact copy of the rally-car! :P

  • I WISH I could have been there! That's my all time "must have" exotic car. Maybe some day.

  • I was there that day, I was standing on the opposite side of the track and Llewellyn came through the make-shift chicane absolutely sideways! Awesome!

  • I would say Hannu Mikkola could drive that S1 to the limits too.. Stig wasn't slow either...

  • That have been perhaps 90% of the max. There´s only one Person who can do 100%: Walter Röhrl!!!
