  • Does thisone normally come with this much resistance? It's buzzing and almost hammering when touching the table. Are there any budget gyro's that are smoother?

  • @Qternocq Yes. Putting it on a rubber mat helps. The japanese ones are better made but are more expensive.

  • i want one

  • I bought this one!!

  • i just bought this at the national museum of history NY

Does is suppose to have one of the ends kinda bent? mine does

  • thanks im buying one

  • Just like the one in "Contact".

  • can you get like a inception spinning top?

  • i want one :D

  • damm I want one.

  • their really kool i used to have one:)

  • my father had this too

  • Does that thing ever stop?

  • speak up when shooting a video

  • I wonder what makes the Japanese version better than this one? machining? overall quality?

  • i have the same one you do made my the same people and i cant seem to get mine to spin as long as yours... any tips?

  • Hey, this is totally cool!!!

  • How do you lube it?

  • i cant find the site, please tell

  • @optiplex6300 teco toys.com:D

  • o ok ty! trying to learn how to master the string tricks, for the one where u do it in mid air, do u put the string on the base or on the top?

  • wait is it suppose to have a crack on the frame area? i have one right under the middle part. u seem to have one too.

  • No thats how it should be. The design is 100 years old. Its called a butt joint.

  • i have one from i think 1970 i can tell its from around 1970 because it still has like half the package and the piece of cardboard's design is 70's like

  • @gyroscopes dude i wanna get one but is it durable? and is the black base thingy metal or plastic? Can i pay by visa or american express?

  • do u know how to fix one..mines cracked on the frame for some reason, i only used it twice....

  • @serneno myn to and i waled it

  • i have the same gyroscope its so much fun but i cant balance it on a string

  • That is actual magic.

  • That was funny. I didn't see him put it in the string and I was like whoa floating gyroscope.

  • oh my god, that is so awesome

  • You can get this exact gyroscope at the website mentioned in the title for £2.92, or $4.16 :)

  • lol, fail at the end. it is quite cheap btw. seach Tedco gyroscope. its only a few pounds.

  • these are cool

  • dudes what's the cost on one of these? i want one

  • it's 2.92 $ at the mentioned site in the title

  • there like 10 dollars at a lea yally

  • there 5 dollars and you can get them in the toy section of the resteraunt called cracker barrel

  • these are so amusing

ps, my name really has nothing to do with this its from a song

  • neat

  • sweet where can i get one

  • just ordered mine from amazon for 10 bucks

  • you can get them at cracker barrel for like 5 or 6 bucks

  • nice but how can i make one?

  • a gyroscope is really just something that spins so a wheel in some sort of frame should work

  • does it stope spinning? can you hurt yourself by touching the spinning thing?

  • you can't hurt yourself, but they do stop spinning

  • how much r they?

  • like 10-15 bucks

  • i got one like this at cracker barrek

  • wow thats so exciting, i wet my my pants

  • but the deluxe gyro has a plastic frame right?

  • correct

  • thanks for all ur help. I'll almost definitly be buying one of em in the near future.

  • what is better: the deluxe gyroscope or the original tedco gyroscope? (ie. spin duration, quietness, etc.)

  • deluxe

  • ur not just sayin that cuz ur an endorser for the company and tryin to make me spend more money right?

  • I sell them. The deluxe was designed to replace the tedco orginal but people still remember the tedcos from when they were young.

Plus some prefer the design. That is my honest opinion. If you are going for quality I would also suggest you check the japanese one.

  • I still think that Gyroscopes will take over the Earth >.>

  • did u notice one of the metal ring is not sealed?

  • Yes that is the design.

  • lol 1:50

  • lol yea that made me laugh too

  • u can balance it on your finger aswell

  • I WANT ONE

  • Professor Morris brought me here...

  • I got one of those from the dollar store once ^.^ Except instead of using a string, it worked like a Beyblade. Very fun :3

  • let em rip! lol

  • i had this exact one. it was like 10 bucks but after a while the weldid metal broke and it did not work. i would reccomend to everyone in getting a nice plastic and metal one. some have a string and a zipper thing which comes in handy

  • this is amazing

  • where can i get one for myself?

  • well i have one

  • go to google and then type in gyroscope

  • i got one but mine starts to make a strange noise and the outer metal starts to spin rapidly

    =-(

    help me

  • you need to oil the gyro

  • the string on mine broke after the third day!

i had a pet tornado in a bottle that a friend got me but it got broke!

  • ooo i got one that's just like that. fascinating stuff.

  • Angular momentum is awesome.

  • It's unnatural. It's Satan's work what it is.

  • well satan sure is neat :3

  • LOOOOOL

  • whree can i get one exacly like this

  • Look at the title of the video

  • i had one like it once.

  • Search the net or science shops; I got mine in the Boston Science Museum.

  • Did you read the title, how do you feed yourself?

  • i got the exact one also

  • I don't get how these work

  • I think that the ring in the middle has some weights that rotate and that causes a g force which forces it to balance...

Someone can probably explain it better though...

  • I just got one, you're really good at that!

How old is your Gyroscope? I think mine is from the 50's

  • i got one its so much fun!!!!!!!

  • i have the same one

  • nice stuff but why is it so wobbly that it vibrates?it should be very steady

  • Probably loose connections and low velocity. If you listen, it gets worse as the video progresses.

  • Makes me dizzy

    ;)

  • Hey guys, if you're intrested in tornadoes, you can buy a TEDCO Pet Tornado. I got mine from Amazon. Just shake it clockwise very well, (not too much) and you get a tornado!

  • i wish i had 1 how much do they cost? i would have soooooo much fun with one of those

  • Have a look at the website in the title

  • the best trick is across the tight wire I have one of these bought it from Hobby Lobby for only $7 really amazing what Isaac Newton did he was the smartest guy of his century.

  • How much does the gyroscopes cost in aus dollars?

  • I suggest having a look on our website

  • i used to have one of these when i was a kid. never could get it to work, though...

  • Tell me if I am write for the balance on the side. When the wheel is spinning, its angular momentum is along the direction of its axis (horizontal). But there is a torque perpendicular to its momentum due to gravity (weight), which means there must be a change in the ang momentum. carried on!!1

But there is a torque perpendicular to its momentum due to gravity (weight), which means there must be a change in the ang momentum. The only way ang momentum can change therefore is to change direction and not its magnitude, also it must rotate! - called precession! right?

  • please help me i'm in trouble with understanding to precession angular speed and smth else. by the way nice video body:)

  • That's amazing!!!

  • i got this one 2 it ownes

  • IVe got the same one.....its really cool to put it on a pencil point

  • that was real neat. The momentum that thing had was incredible. You think that technology could be used as a form as alternative energy, like on a larger scale

  • Yes, It can be used for energy storage.

  • I've got the exact same one it's not so precies 2 bad

  • are they on the back of helicopters? are those really good bearings or are there other factors to why it spins so fast.

  • my mum bought the exact same thingy 4 me a few days ago, <3 it !

  • I just bought that same tedco Gyro yesterday.. its soo fun :)

  • I didnt know about the one where u use the string on one side! i know the finger, the stand thing and the string at the bottom of the gyro. i just did tht one sided one... got any more that you know?

  • OMG!!

  • i have the exact same one

  • can you help me i got the twin pack and i dont know how to do that double trick...?

  • BEYBLADE!!!!! 5/5! Lmao nice thingie!

  • if they had that thing in the centre of the beyblade...beyblade would last longer...wat do ya think?

  • haha... when there was that beyblade fad where i live i brought a gyroscope and people couldnt knock it down lol.

  • i have the same one

  • i have one but its from the 60's my dad gave it to me

  • Yes, the company has been around for almost 100 years.

  • LOL.COOL
