  • R.I.P. wicked muse, only guitar player for me. xxpeter

  • but its actually based off of a shangri las song. ;) he changed the gender...hehe.

  • Yes, indeed!

  • The horrors have an awful lot of explaining to do.

  • @turtledeerbirdinsect uhh she cried was written in the early 60's by jay and the americans. tons of people have covered it. the horrors just make a nod to it in a lyric as they're big fans of girl groups and the shangri la's version.

  • @molecularash Maybe, but it's hard to deny the obvious Rowland influence on their sound.

  • @Jaaaaam the guitarist is a huge fan, i don't think he's ever denied it. fuck, who ISNT influenced by rowland howard's style of playing? he's the best.

  • @molecularash He really, really is.

  • @turtledeerbirdinsect I thought the lyrics sounded familiar lol.

  • @turtledeerbirdinsect you're aware that this itself is a homage to He Cried by The Shangri La's?

  • @surprisedbyjoy1804 actually it's an homage to "She Cried" by Jay & the Americans which was released in 1962.

  • @turtledeerbirdinsect She Cried was originally written by Jay & the Americans in the 1960's. Both artists have the same amount of right to use it/cover it.

  • @turtledeerbirdinsect the original song is by shangri-las, neither roland s. or horrors... they are both doing covers.
