elarmeropr - You are correct. The ThunderMax for Throttle By Wire bikes does require a different basic install. The TBW TMax is a completely new product for a completely different application. There is a Quick Start Guide available as a PDF to aid with installation from both ThunderMax and Zipper's Performance websites. New videos are under development for the TBW TMax applications. Thanks!
Have you guys updated the obsolete serial connector yet? When I upgraded to Windows 7, my USB adaptor wasn't recognized and I couldn't find any drivers that would make it work; lucky I have a netbook with good old XP on it, works great from there!
Some shops and customers use PCs with serial ports alone (obsolete is a relative term). For customers that have our USB adapter # 372-000 (or any adapter w/ a Prolific® chip), and have had difficulty finding the proper driver, contact our Tech Support Department via the ThunderMax website (under Support). I would post the link here for the proper driver, but YouTube won't allow it.
Harley04 - I will send you a private note with the link.

This is not the same basic setup as the 2008-up TBW.
