@DanioDomingues I don't have a part number, but you don't wanna get a new one anyways. You either get a used one for super cheap or do like I did and contact Jamie Daugherty and have him modify a CBR shock for you.
careful with the bike dont rev higher than x10 its 20 years old is that a vf500f2 i got a vf500f i could tell the difference from the rims mine are black 5 spoke with a chrome strip and they made the seats black
@paintslinger2009 Oh I know. I sold the bike to a good friend of mine, and I told him to be careful with it. No higher than 9k rpm I told him. The North American models are different. There is no F2 model here. Just the VF500F. The 86 came with the colors you see there. Red seat with black 3-spoke wheels. The wheel on the back of my bike was from a CBR F2....and the front was powdercoated white to match.
@slowbird hey Slow do u have a phone number or email address for this Jamie Daugherty. I have a 84 VF500 and i need to put a shock on it. An upgrade to an F2 shock would be nice. Thanks bro!
@paintslinger2009 Why not? I race an 84 vf500f in 3 different vintage series. These old bikes are no less reliable than the new bikes. As long as you take care of them. And hella easier to work on. The only problems i've ever seen about the 500 motor was a top end oil problem, which burns up cams, but that only happens when the motor is at idle with daily driving.
@paintslinger2009 I removed them to better help me with the Rear F2 Shock installation and the F2 Rear Wheel installation. I had F1r slip-ons and they got in the way of the re&re of the Rear Brake Caliper.
@snowbird I found it. thanx bro. looks like a pretty good deal!
