I LOOOOVE the Rankin's! My kid's have been soothed to sleep by their gaelic melodies and danced themselves silly tired to their songs, especially this one. They are great!
each song on this medley gets better and better! I get the chllls when I hear this! It never gets old! I want the lyrics, even if I can't understand them!
This is one of the reasons I am trying to find a way to learn a Gaelic language unfortunately if you have no immediate Gaelic ancestry it's really hard to find a way to learn the language as it isn't popular!
@Seisachtheia I'm not sure if anyone has already given you this information, but when I was in Cape Breton at the Highland Village (where practically the entire staff speaks Gaelic as well as they do English!) they recommended the Atlantic Gaelic Academy. I went online to check them out, and they look great! People from all over the world use their distance learning course, which you can access through the Internet without having to show up in the classroom. Hope that helps :)
i just recently rediscoverd this band. i love it but i was a wee bit too young to think to get it from my father at the time im happy to have found a large part of my child hood again :D to this day i love celtic music

Do these people sing full versions of the songs "Buain na Rainich" and "He mo Leannan"? If so, does anyone know where I can get them?

Love it! Does anybody know what they're saying in the second bit? Whatever it is it sounds royally unimpressed!

What a flashback! I heard this first when I was about 10 years old. Brought me back to Gaelic.
