@WHOOPASSLQ- I agree there should be more ships protecting the Federation's capitol. That said Federation space is like 10,000 light years across and three-dimensional. That's a tremendous volume and even with say, 8 or 9 thousand ships very difficult to cover effectively.

@albatani27 you know that's always bugged me to no end the U.F.P. is 8,000 light years across 150+ member worlds maintains a fleet of some 7-8 thousand stars ships and yet the one planet where the federation leadership, star fleet academy and command not to mention the principle star ship construction facility's are located is strategically vulnerable to every know enemy method of attack the borg attack only earth youd think they would keep at least 50-60 ships around on patrol in system

@WHOOPASSLQ also, it wasnt until the dominion war that the federation really started beefing up their fleet. at this time, they were mostly focused on exploration and peaceful deals with others, not preparing for battle. heck, it wasnt until DS9 that the star fleet finally commissioned its first warship that was MEANT as a warship, the defiant class. granted, a lot of federation ships have some form of weaponry, but again, a lot was focused on science and exploration.

The Klingons are right, why does not the Federation convert the genesis device into a weapon. As a weapon it is unmatched, I don't think anything the borg could do could protect them from the transformation in the Genesis matrix. The result planet might self destruct after awhile but the primary target would be totally obliterated.

OMG! When I saw the Enterprise A and E side by side fighting against the Borg, my heart leapt into my throat! The Star Trek world si so vast and yet so comfortable. Because they all fight for the same cause, galactic peace.

No matter what ship the fans like it all is good. It unites us and thanks to the RifleMan80's awesome videos, we all can get a taste of the Star Trek universe.
