she is the woman you play as who awakens from hyper sleep(hence seeing no one else in the facility), and she completes all of the tests and gets to GLaDOS's chamber and burns all of her personality cores, and at the end along with the credits, you hear this song(still alive), sort of the same thing in portal 2, only you work with glados and send wheatly(your former"guide") into space, and then as well as the first portal, there is a song sung by glados at the end
