It's a really good deal now though. 49.99 on contract, ships with Android 2.2 which probably fixed some bugs/lag, full qwerty keyboard... perfect for a beginner user. I'd see no problem in getting it, especially for so cheap.

I got the transform 2 weeks ago and i love it. its not laggy with me, probably because the firmware is now 2.2.2.. I also accidentally dropped it on floor twice and it didn't scratch and thankfully it still works.

a few thing i don' t like about it..not a fan of the ID packs (i guess its useful to others) its gets bugging a few times by forcing close on you when your trying to save settings.

other than that i love it. its not to big like the epic but its not to small. it fits nicely on my palm

SPRINT ID is bogging this phone down.

I find it strange that you didnt realize this since all other reviewers have figured it out. This phone can be sped waay the fck up by using programs like launcher pro to remove Sprint ID (also lets home screen rotate) Also ROMs can be installed to increase its performance.

@ all of you who like the Epic 4G over Evo 4G; Atleast those with the Evo 4G have 2.2... While you are stuck with last year's 2.1... All Samsung phone's (except Nexus S) generally all suck due to horrible updates and broken a GPS. Let me know when the Epic 4G gets 2.2, then I'll consider it comparable to the Evo 4G. BTW: Evo 4G will be one of the first phones to get the OTA 2.3 update.

Verizon = Samsung Fascinate

Sprint = Epic 4G

T-Mobile = G2

@XxGRAWM1A1xX My aunt has the Evo and I like the Epic better. But they are both great!! And I love the Droid X, I don't like the Droid 2 for some reason. But the one thing I don't like about the Droid X is that it has a high SAR. SAR is how far radiation from the phone penetrates your body. The Fascinate has a very low SAR. Although I have to say SAR is stupid. It can't hurt to play it safe
