Did you read their statements ? They were poking Vivendi and Vivendi did not let that happen. And the very limited information given by ex-blizznorth ppl about the whole issue is a typical sign for lawyer restriction by the mother company.

And ofc. the 2012 D3 looks graphicaly better. Does it mean we will get a wonderfull B-North storylane, gameplay-depth and consistency? Or will we get the 100. Addon to a cash cow, with real money system,no lan etc?

@shurednichso I dont like the thought of the real money thing.They have a way to break down materials for crafting and stuff like that, this will keep the bundle of items to a low.If it becomes a problem they will patch it. I doubt their will be lan would be cool tho.The story line is going to continue from d1 and d2 if youve ever seen the lore videos to them you would know what Im talking about

The current version seems to be using the same (obviously immensely improved) engine. Look at the map at the top, it's actually extremely close to the game map system in the beta.

Even tho the effect and textures are lower, there seems to be more details than in the D3 beta dungeons I've seen so far.

I have to be honest, while the graphics look dated, this is more of what I think of when I think of Diablo atmosphere. This game just feels like Diablo. Yes it looks old school, but I think thats what most of the fans wanted from a sequel anyways, to return to Sanctum and feel that vibe we had when games like this first started coming out, not where they are heading.

i read about the concept that they had in mind for this early version of D3 - they said this in a interview - something about Heaven vs Hell war(obviusly) and that you could choose a side and it would effect your items and skills etc. but they wherend satisfied with this - it didn´t play well etc - so they canceld it - thats Blizzard :) - they cancel a game just like this :) in blink of a eye :)
