Similar to how my mother used to make it but she used Cannelli Beans and somehow made it "white" not reddish.but I'm going to try this as it looks delicious. My sister makes hers using red sauce but I don't care for it that way.....your way sounds much better. Thanks for the recipe!
not too bad....but mom tossed in garlic, hot sausage (altho she left it out for Lent) and didnt bother to puree it....if you really want to do this extra step, just dump the beans in a blender or food processor
