I was there today and witnessed this. What was most striking is that Hilary had every advantage, as more questions were directed to her, and a moderator even accidentally called her "president clinton". I thought Hillary did an excellent job and she was anything but fake or dishonest in this answer. She simply stated, yes, I will take money from lobbyists and stated how some lobbyists do represent progressive organizations. Lobbyists are an easy target. It's simple for Obama and Edwards to make noises about somehow ending the lobbying (and therefore generate almost obligatory audience noise).

Reminds me of Obama's slip about the need for greater diplomacy. Sure, everyone is in favour of greater diplomacy, but it's more complicated than that and has to consider sensitivities in international relations.
