Springsteen rules. I really hope the E-Street Band can hold out for another tour/album. I'm in my 20s and only started listening to Bruce about 4 years ago...It's like a religious experience seeing them all live.
Yeah I heard the same thing, that he can write so fast now that he wanted to do another sessions band tour and then some more with e street. However, I was just looking over his set lists for the last few concerts of the Magic tour and I was not encouraged when I saw all the tour premiers and cover songs and songs not performed since 1975. To me, it looks like he was pulling out the oldies to play one last time...
I gotta say- that's NOT the vibe I was getting. He played them for the crowd. Max Weinberg was commenting that this style of touring is something the band hasn't really done before, but they loved doing it. He wouldn't be playing oldies for one last tour- that's a silly thought. The band is as hot as ever, even Bruce said that they've had the best tour of their lives (whether that's an exaggeration or not). He left us with the same feeling he did after the Rising Tour- he'll be back.
I sincerely hope that you're right and I'm wrong. I've only been able to see him once, and I'd love to get another opportunity (i was in the nose bleeders with people much older than I). I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Of course I head about it. I saw him a few times last tour. Not to be rude, but I made that comment 5 months ago, and now we're all aware of the upcoming WOAD tour in the next fe wweeks.
if anybody out there has perfect pitch, or is better with music than I am....what are these chords...i'm guessing open G tuning with a capo on 2nd fret (so it'd be open A), and he's playing the same music as the original recording, just singing in a much higher octave.
Yeah, just great, been trying to find this for a long time, just awesome. Thanks for posting! Bzw. vielen Dank, habe Bruce damals gesehen und bin beim Rausgehen wie ein Depp in der Menge stehengeblieben, weil's so klasse war.
Yep this version is so much better than the album version x

Also, RIP Danny Federici.

Bruce was talking about it, and I predict at least 2: another E-Street and another solo album. The big - difference - of course is - Danny Federici.
