@strongsock: He does try to hook it too much. I have this ball, and I don't have to whip my whole body to the left like he does to get it to hook. And I actually keep my balance too... He tends to walk off to the right a little bit after some shots.

Our house shot is horrible, its nearly the shark but with more units of oil. The ball would not come back like that at our house. It would look a lot better if the bowler was a little bit more smooth in his approach to release and to following through, you dont need to put so much on the ball, its the matter of moving your eyes and feet. Bowling isnt a game of "who can put more revs on it". I rather have a consistant pocket shot then leaving washouts and going high all the time.

@reinke7 thats just the way he bowls, just like how u have people like tommy jones and robert smith who have high rev rates, but u also have people like norm duke who typically have lower rev rates.

@reinke7 it isnt all about the revs but on shark as long as i keep it in side 10 im good., it will also hold. and when i miss to 9 or 8 board it will come back and maybe carry a weak pocket hit. shark and scorpion are probabley the only patterns i can put as much rev on the ball that i want and get away withit and do very good, thats why there my highest scoring out of the pba patterns. the patterns i need to hold back on are the short ones. but on shark id rather rev it than leave 10s all day:)

@reinke7 and i was also grabbing it a bit to much at the bottom because i had that ball drilled a while back and it doesnt fit me very well especially the thumb.

I am thinking about buying a combo with a black alien and a red ailen with a ball bad if some wants to get a black ailen and lives in texas we can go in halves you get the bag and black all I want is the red

@Relbac3 You should think about getting the black alien instead of the red. I find the black alien to be a better ball overall. The black alien is more versatile. The red alien can only be used on heavy/long oil patterns.

shark is one of the most heaviest oiled patterns, so considering that; he'd need more revs on the ball... so that might be why he 'muscles' the ball...

@AugieGK4life basically to delay the hook. i didnt want the ball to start and hook midlane. its like stacked with a little added length. I had it drilled the same way as my R47 so i could see the difference in theball itself.

@10InThePitBowler ah ok, that works. i guess to me it just looked too far back haha but its probably not. i just ordered the 900 Global Bounty Hunter, should ship on monday and im getting that drilled especially so ill have something to play inside with on heavy shots. i dont really like having to slow the ball down 1 or 2 mph slower than my regular shot lol

@10InThePitBowler yea, i got it drilled about two weeks ago and im trying to make a video but thats going kinda slow lol. the guy drilled it 4 1/4 inches from PAP with the CG also at 4 1/4 inches. pin is under the ring finger, works well but i need to get the thumb adjusted cause when the guy drilled it he left it the same size at the bit piece. since my i need a more oval thumb hole its harder for me to release the ball the way i want, and most times i think its a good shot but it hits light

I'd like to see you tune down your game a little, and be able to lower your ball speed and smooth it. You definately have a lot of natural talent and throw a nice ball. Maybe someday with hard work, practice, and a haircut you could make it =)

Keep this up! Your rolling to success. This will come in handy whenever you bowl on tough conditions. I can't say I can do it, but I do know that you will get great results on a heavy pattern. What's your rev rate?

thanks. the heavier shots tend to be my favorite because i like to play inside.I dont know my rev rate, probabley high 300's maybe low 400 hundred. But that's only an estimation.

Dude no disrespect to you or anything but your extremely muscled in your shots. You have a sky high backswing and rip the cover off the ball at the release and dont have balance at the line. This will create problems. I used to bowl like that till it created bad muscle, join, and finger problems. at the time i averaged roughly 160. I went to my coach who got me on an absloutely no muscle throw and i am now averaging 200+, have no physical problems, and got double the reaction from my stuff.
