  • Im a FMF corpsman in the marine, I am a medic as well as a rifleman, i can do both

  • can you carry a firearm as a medic on duty?

  • No.

  • In the military, technically and ideally, no. Medical personnel are supposed to be non-combat units, and are also not to be fired upon.

However, if you read any memoirs by Viet Nam vets, you will find incidents where medics picked up the weapons of the wounded to protect the wounded, because a VC was repeatedly maiming the same, already wounded soldier or marine.

  • Um that depends lol.

by on duty do you mean as in like a hospital or as in a battlefield? on a battlefield I see no reason why a medic can't have a firearm. And hell- If I were a medic on a battlefield without a gun, and I got shot how would I go about treating the wounded?

  • "Drop the Gun!" BANG BANG!!! Bad guy goes down. She tends to his aide saying, "Here, let me treat your wounds." Bad guy reaches for his second gun. She takes aim and BANG BANG!!! Again the bad guy goes down. She says, "Here, let me treat your wounds." LOL. This could go on all day.

  • @watchdog68 Not if you use 2 large caliber rounds to the center of the chest as taught at frontsight. Instead, it would be bang, bang....let me call the coroner.

  • An incredibly beautiful woman who knows how to shoot. And she's a nurse! Wow!
