They will walk right in if you don't stop them. I had a cop tell me that he was going to come in and take a look around and I put my arm out and blocked him and said, 'I didn't say you could come inside'. He stopped. And he didn't come in.

They will also try to talk you in circles. Be polite because they are trained to deal with out of control, violent people. It confuses them if you are nice to them.

and it doesn't matter if you're black or white or green. Be nice! You can make them look like an ass in court later, as long as you were nice. If you jump bad... not so much. Most encounters are on camera, use that to your advantage!

they don't necessarily need a warrant to enter a residence. but they do need probable cause. noise = disturbing the peace = probable cause.

Yes, they do need a warrant to enter any private property. Disturbing the peace is not the same as breaching the peace, and unless there is probably cause that someone is being harmed, they have no right to do anything without your consent. Also, if they do not have a warrant, they simply cannot do anything, WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. The second you consent to allow them to enter, they can go in. Stand your ground.

place a No Warrent No Search sign on your front door and all windows. Make sure it shows the 18USC2236 warning: Whoever, being an officer, agent, or employee of the United States or any department or agency thereof, engaged in the enforcement of any law of the United States, searches any private dwelling used and occupied as such dwelling without a warrant directing such search... they will back down, period...

Do you know how long that will work. Not long. All the cops need to do is use a computer write up affidavit for the loud party. Ten minutes at the most. Less 30 seconds to email it to the judge with a picture of the place. Cell call swearing it is true. The judge takes a pic the warrant he has signed emails it back. No problem. Now you can bend over. That is what happen here any how. don't plan on getting away with it for two long.

English law is much more strict. The police can enter the property without a warrant (warrant - sworn out by Magistrate) and enter property to provent a 'breach of the peace'. Under section 19 Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984 can seize equipment related to that breach of the peace (sound system/ sterio, etc)... America seems a lot less black and white about it?
