@TheFreestylebeast Um he's a rookie you know. And though I'm not saying he's gonna be better than lebron he does arguably have better rookie stats than lebron had his first year in the league.
@superLBJallday. If your a Miami fan you have no rights at all to say that considering you have got the two best players in the league along with a great PF and still couldn't win a championship. Cleveland had a better record then Miami with LeBron. He left cause he wanted to win not because of our city or our fan base (Which he likes better than Maimi's). If he was leaving because he hated Cleveland he would've gone to NY. Miami has got a target on it's back and I would like to see them lose t
Apparently Kyrie doesn't pass? Only one highlight of him passing and only one defensive highlight... lol, I like Kyrie... but you made him look like a ball hog!
As a Cavs fan I have to say Kyrie is going to be an all star in at least two years. He is not going to be a able to carry a team to the best record in the NBA two years in a row averaging near 30 points a game and almost 8 assists a game. You can't replace LeBron and your not going to be able to for a long time
I love Kyrie hes great. He has a great potienal as the Cavs rebuild and maybe back to wehere they were. but I agree with these comments. They are not playoff contenders this season and probably not next season but just wait and Im sure they will. LeBron is amazing. I am a Cavs fan and Im not happy he left but I still respect him as a player well not a player one of the best players in the NBA
dude. You do understand besides Gibson, Parker, Andy, and Jamison its not even the same team when LBJ played with the Cavs. Second no one is denying how good Lebron is. Lebron did not immediately turn the Cavs into a championship team. Finally, you must be disillusion from hanging on Lebron's nuts for so long.
Woah Lebron was the cavaliers, kyrie Irving is good but hasn't made a joke team a championship contender type team like LeBron. You can say "oh lebron sucks" but we all know you're just mad lebron left this sorry team to do better. It's also funny how Cleveland fans say lebron sucks but they were begging for him to stay lmfao. Dick riders I swear
I understand Kyrie is a great player, but you the Cavs might have a way to go before a Championship. And about LeBron James. He left almost two years ago yet you guys still hate him. C'mon guys get mature.
And yes, I'm putting him ahead of Rajon Rondo because I wouldn't trust him with the ball. Can't score for shit, hell the Big 3 in Boston made him the player he is today. When the C's Big 3 are done, Rondo will be nothing with a weaker supporting cast.
@adonisbitanga I'm a Celtics fan and I totally agree. Even in Rondo's rookie year he had studs like Pierce and Al Jefferson to throw the ball to. Kyrie doesn't have anyone close to the Pierce of 5-6 years ago and a guy like Al Jefferson down low.
Kyrie's an ELITE shooter at the PG position, is getting better on D, is a great teammate/leader, has great vision and is very crafty.
The only things that Rondo has over Kyrie are: his athleticism (Kyrie's a good athlete tho) & craftyness, that's it.
Maybe it's a blessing in disguise we lost LeBron James. Kyrie Irving is so down to earth and I'm telling you that this kid, if all goes well, may end up being the 5th best at his position by Season's end, only behind Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Russell Westbrook.
Can people let go of the Lebron hate? It's getting ridiculous. Lebron moved on so should Cleveland. Kyrie will be a top 2 PG in 3 to 5 years. Just be happy and give it up already.
if we should vote for any rookiw into the all-star game, it should be rubio. dont getme wrong i like kyrie irving but rubio is a more complete and experienced player.
@tygamann1 Its actually pretty stupid if anyone said that! Have you heard ANYTHING about D Williams in the past month? He's averaging 6 or 7 points a game. And people still think we should have gone with him. UNBELIEVABLE
@RuneMacer55 Not Cody Zeller...I like Thomas Robinson but I think everyone else does too and with Kyrie's help, Cleveland is going to be nowhere near the first pick. So, idk...
i think what the cavs need is a good center that is defensive minded to kill the boards and to control the paint when someone is going to the basket ....they should keep varejao at pf couse he runs good pick and roll with kyre and a new head coach a veteran and they could be a very good team
@MrBuzzBeat He looks more promising then John Wall. John Wall has some nice moves but he can't shoot. Kyrie Irving is a player that you can tell has been playing since he was a kid. His skill level is almost that of a young Kobe. Only thing is Kobe is 6'6" and Kyrie is 6'3 1/2". If Kyrie can grow another 2 inches, he can definitely slide to that 2 spot.Look what he has similiar to Kobe. Not saying he's going to be Kobe but he is averaging 17 ppg like a young Kobe with limited min.
@MrBuzzBeat Kyrie has good basketball IQ like Kobe and they both chose Duke. He has a better outside shot then both Lebron and Wade, I'll tell you that.
@416Gaming In Miami its fun to trot around snorting coke and banging latina prostitutes in your free time. Its fun for rich young people. But at the end of the day Cleveland is a better city with better fans and Lebron already knows this. Hes not that stupid. When Dan Gilbert finishes building his huge casino in CLE it won't be that boring of a city anymore either. CLE has got big things coming, especially with our superstar KI on the rise
@KyIrvingfan15 Wouldn't crying show they have a lot of heart and are very passionate. Also lets not crown anyone in Cleveland. We don't need another King we need a complete team with a lot of talent.
@KyIrvingfan15 lol everyone knows that the cavs fans are heartless losers. you guys were pathitic when King James left. your owner is a fag, your team suckes, and the fans are fucking fucktards.
@KyIrvingfan15 your kidding right because as soon as lebron left all hell broke loose in Cleveland you got no heart lebron james was the heart and soul of that team
@greg20423 the only players left on the roster from the lebron era are Boobie, AV, and Jamison, and all three don't give a shit about lebron. The players that did such as JJ Hickson, Mo Williams, and Jamario were all traded. We were able to get a shitty record and get the first and fourth pick in the draft. This kid is already putting up better numbers than lebron did his rookie season, and he has a worse supporting cast. CLE is coming
@aze606 I simply don't understand people like you. Your post was stupid and unnecessary. Us Cavs fans have dealt with enough crap from people like you. I'd love to see how people like you react when your team goes through a hard time and people like you troll you.
@aze606 yeah you stole the self proclaimed "king", enjoy his elbow and fourth quarter performances on the quest to win not 1, not 2, not 3 championships...
@arbogner stole? the man was a free agent. he gave u the finger and left ur shitty cleveland.lebron is the best in the fourth. you can forget about making the playoffs in not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 not 5 not 6 not 7 not 8 years
@aze606 LOL so what man? we don't really give a fuck if we ever become good at all its whatever but one day we will have the CAVS back bitches and were coming strong.
Cavs are finally interesting to watch, since the Lebron's betrayal. They should give Tristan more time, guy can play. By the way, C's need some one at the 3rd spot, cause Casspi is zero there. The best solution after this season is to let Antawn go or trade him for 1st rd pick.
@SarunasP4L I don't even think Antawn could be traded, he only ha about another 2 years at most untill he's retired, I think this should be the starting lineup:
PG: Kyrie Irving
SG: Anthony Parker
SF: Omri Casspi (If he improves, if not Jamison or Gee)
@KyIrvingfan15 Hollins is the worst center in the league, averages like 1.5 rebounds per game for his career and he's 7'1 and athletic! Garbage. At least Erden is sort of skilled and gets to the foul line.
@elmalloc That's exactly what I said earlier, Jamison can't really be traded. But with Ryan Hollins, he isn't getting many minutes, which I disagree with. He is tough, and he gets under the skin of players alot... If you saw any of the Cavs Clippers game 2/8. He won't take anything he doesn't like.
@KyIrvingfan15 jamison already said in training camp this will be his last year probably. and i think we could trade jamis to a title contender, but not for much. maybe a 2nd round pick and a young guy at the end of the bench. and as far as casspi goes, he's not good. i love the upside gee has though. TT still needs alot of work. and we desperately need to sign a scoring threat this offeason and hit a homerun on the draft.
@SarunasP4L Omri is starting to understand Byron's system and has stepped up his play lately. Gee is really starting to seem like a diamond in the rough too, fierce dunker and he improved a lot over last season. He definitely be a solid rotational player for the Cavs.
@iMReALLy730 He Is better than John Wall, because he makes his teamates better and he Is unselfish and he is a leader team and wins first kind of player, with that and his talent level Kyrie Irving Is going to be potential star player and If the Cavs continue to make the right moves there Is a bright future ahead of them.
@21Spocaj I also think Kyrie is better at making his teamates better, unlike the a John Wall. I also think the cavs a very bright future. I have been through all the Lebron years, and you can probably tell Kyrie is way more down to earth than Lebron, and I can't wait to see what happens once he matures. BEAST!

Great to have a sincere dose of optimism. He may not be Lebron, but comparatively, he shouldn't be. He is a true point guard with innovative passing ability, a great pull-up jumper and awesome slashing capability. If the Cavs can somehow find a true center next year, it's playoff basketball again in June 2013. Go Cavs!

BRavo! Just what the Cavs needed. He's got moves that haven't been invented yet and a great attitude. Go Cavs!

Go Cavs!
