The title of this video is a huge fail. If it goes to video review the goal judges are the ones responsible for making the call. Sure the refs missed that it went in but if that's the reason for the title then that sounds a little to far fetched for me. And I'm a Wings fan.

From what I have heard a intent to whistle is a non-reviewable play meaning they can't review it. The sound in Toronto must have been muted. That's the ONLY reason why it wasn't counted. The NHL should have something similar to the NFL, having the senior referee take a look at the play right there.

The title of this video is a huge fail. If it goes to video review the goal judges are the ones responsible for making the call. Sure the refs missed that it went in but if that's the reason for the title then that sounds a little to far fetched for me. And I'm a Wings fan.

Well, you can't blame the refs too much in this situation. It was hard to tell it went in till you see the replay. I mean May didn't even relized it till the goalie pulled it out. My question is why Toronto called like they should have then still over turned it. I wouldn't blame it on the refs, but for sure on the war room.

From what I have heard a intent to whistle is a non-reviewable play meaning they can't review it. They didn't know if the puck went in or not in full motion, neither did the homer announcers in this video. The point is this I doubt any fans or refs or players saw the puck go in like it did and the ref can't check to see if the goalie might have lost it after the whistle. They missed one it's understandable how he missed it. I have these homer wings announcers they are so retarded

@Kartracer6 The puck was in before the whistle. The puck was in off the original shot. The puck was in when the ref thought it was under the pad. Toronto called saying the puck was in. The ref didn't want to look like a blind asshole who blows his whistle for no reason so he said he had intent to blow because he lost sight. The shooter knew it was in, the goalie knew it was in, and the players behind the net knew it was in. The puck was in you douche.

How was this even intent to blow? When did the ref intend to blow the whistle? Mid shot? Because the puck went directly into the goal. There was no time that it was dead and not in the net. As soon as he told Toronto "I meant to blow the whistle" they should've said "When?" and fired him the next day. This call still drives me crazy. I'm a Wings fan and I don't care if this is called against the Avs in the 90s I'm still pissed at the refs.
