@ksantander Well as always in music production you can do a thing in many ways. He could've used a layer with a really acoustic one shot(read one with lots of high freq) and distorted it with a multi-band distortion(Ohmicide for example).

But still I know this from Cooh(he's a DJ from my country who's a bit big in this kind of music) that all of the producers from Freak use for a base layer one from a break.

You're mistakin, mate. These are breaks with added loads of layers.

The basic break is cut in a sampler(NI Kontakt for example), then you layer it. The snare is at least three layers, one tuned super high, one really short for attack, and a acoustic one from the break.

Don't confuse people with your uninformedness.
