it took me 8 years to prove to my parents that I can make a living being a classical musician..can you imagine? My dad finally said that he missed listening to my playing. My mom still keeps the piano for me to play when I go home to visit. Lily, u have no idea how much we relate. I used to be on a bhangra team, and had to quit because my dad was never fond of me dancing. Not to mention i had to stop playing soccer too because he thought it was a waste of money. My mom is also my bestfriend! I tell her everything and she was ur typical indian wife, forced to go along with her husbands decision. Till this day, I wonder about all the new people i could've met and new places i could've seen if i was still on a team.It really does suck
