  • The city he's looking over a 2:25 is clearly Montreal.

  • hooray for light pollution~!

  • its hard to find a place on earth that doesn't have city lights

    lol

  • @BlaseConcepts Try Haiti.

  • The Canadarm. Good job canada, good job.

  • the "CANADIAN ARM"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We'll pretend it's a boat.

What amazing opportunities these guys have, ya'know? How beautiful!

  • If I was on the ISS, I would stare out the window all day long and let everyone else do all the shitty work. I'll just take the pictures. lol.

  • lmao you know what ... when the guys says, "looks like diamonds being spread out on velvet" and how theres like a 10-15 second pause? i think the astronauts couldn't stop laughing and making fun of him like, "oh man that guys is gay" and then coming back and saying, "that's a good metaphor"

  • what's with the crappie camera? gee you'd think they'd have something better than a 1/2 meg pixel camera.

  • Sitting in a pile of electronics worth billions and not able to make a few descent shots of the earth for the rest of us down here...Come on :O

  • lol you see how bad these pictures are :D btw google earth pictures from new york and other big places are taken from helicopters because satellite cameras aren't really so good

  • it was transsmisions like this that got me interested in Amateur Radio. We sound like this when we are working on SSB :)BEEP!!

  • I guess it's an effect of the quality of the communications but it sounds like the person on the space station sounds like he's... gasping? for air a lot of the time? It might be the way he speaks, though.

  • The Astronaut's microphones/headsets are voice activated and cut out every time they pause and activate when speech is detected. The guy on the ground(Bleep either side of transmission)has to push a button to operate his mic.

  • Thanks for that.

  • Lol :)) "Is that a boat?/No,it's the cursor/I'l pretend it's a boat" very nice, thumbsup to the astronauts and ground communications!

  • wish i was there

  • nice comment latinslav

  • It looks like someone has flicked paint on a black piece of paper ... beautiful!

  • was that a ufo at the end??

  • three years is GOOD... it's a freaking space station!!! :)

  • That's awesome. I hope they finish that space station soon.

  • not very soon.. ISS is currently planned to be completed in 2010.

  • Three years isn't too bad. I look forward to its completion.
