@MisticWizzard Yeah...not quite. The "obsession" is with the Necronomicon, and not the one Lovecraft spoke of. Well, not exactly anyways. Though it's "supposed" to be the "real" translation of it. Which is also loosely based on true ancient Sumerian/Babylonian mythology. Google Simon Necronomicon(aka Simonomicon). Remember, Lovecraft denied inventing it. And it's certainly more than purely a Lovecraftian fiction at this point. Kinda hard to read though... slighty maniacal...pretty out there...

I never thought of Pantera as one of the worst bands in the history of metal...I've definitely heard way worse thrashy stuff than Pantera...and even outside of the realm of Pantera's sound...there is just some real crap out there. I have a hard time thinking of Pantera as one of the worst bands in the history of metal when we have shit like Dragonforce floating around. And I think the solo in this song around 1:30 or so kind of sounds like something Dimebag would have played.
