My father was a man who worked 4 a living We did family things learned from each other There is so much 2 learn & little time 4 mistakes Father did what he could leaving it up 2 me to do better I heard what father said saw his way of doing understood through the eyes of youth what he wanted 2 impress on my soul now I work 4 a living Looking back through my eyes of age I understand more I long 2 here what my father was saying vainly I struggle 2 grasp his words as they silently fade away.
