MAN!!! you used your great skills to make a RC ride just like a REAL ride, the details of the car, the body opened for better view......you can even search for bombs inside buildings whit this MACHINE!!!! :))))
hey, awesome video, and same as you after watching wobbys video i wanted to do the same! i purchesed my summit about 3-4 weeks ago and i just got a fat shark fpv kit. unfurtionatly now my truck wont go no further then about 15-20 ft from me before loosing signal. what is going on!?!?!? lol this really isnt how i pictured it going. i have been looking into new controllers like your futaba but my local hobby shop said i couldnt use it for rc car that they are programed for plane, can you help me!?
@mrjato69 you can use plane remotes with cars its probly better because you have more channels to play with i would just buy the remote and ignore the shop keeper just plug the servo into ch4 (rudder) and speed controler in ch 3 (throttle) anyways have fun
Amazing interior (at least what shows on the camera!) Did you craft it yourself or reuse a dashboard for touring cars/4x4 scalers etc? Looks good matched with the body's paint. Next step, perhaps working steering wheel and gear shift knob tied to diffs or 2-speed? Hah!
Hey man, you have done an amazing work on that Summit. Has been a real pleasure to enjoy the ride inside the truck. How long is the range with your Futaba control?
Thanks! The 2.4GHz control is not really suitable for very long distances. However, right now it is reaching farther than the video transmitter (due to vibrations causing signal interruptions). I can safely drive about 400 feet with no control dropouts on the Traxxas 2.4GHz, but farther than that on Futaba FASST. I haven't tested for maximum range on the FASST yet... need someone to rescue the truck when I call them on the phone!
@HariEdo I have the original 27Mhz radio, which wobby in his blog says should get good range if you extend the receiver antenna with brass tubing; I may try that out first (before using my 6 ch Futaba 72Mhz system).
How are those new tires/wheels working for you? Love the black color on them. Any more bounce/flopping at high speed? I need new ones anyway, tore one of the stock tires on a piece of 16g wire hidden underneath some branches/leaves...go figure.

Do you think that the Hitec Aurora 9 9-Channel 2.4GHz would be great for long range fpv? Thx:)
