A wrestler would take a knee or elbow to the face if they went use a strict double leg takedown. There's a reason MMA fighters usually counter or end a combo with a shoot. And if you're coming in and you have no guard and take a full power knee to the face you will be lucky to live none the less win the fight.

I have used my skills in martial arts in real situations but never to the full extent. I am no master, but with ten years of experience from styles including Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Ju-Jitsu, and Nin-Jitsu I never ever want to have to go all out. I have had to choke a person out before, I've had to kick someone in the face before, but never to the full extent. I could probably kill but I would never EVER want to. There's to much death and violence in this world as it is.

A real martial artist would never put himself in those types of situations with teenage thugs who have something to prove, a REAL martial artist would have walked away. If someone would attack a seasoned martial arts veteran and he had to use self defense, the attacker would be on the ground very quickly and it would be over.

But in the defense of teens like myself I know that the longer I take to finish a fight the more intimidating it is and in the situation in which you come into contact with the aggressor five days a week, you need to intimidate. Plus it is hard to put a teen on the ground and keep him there. They just don't know when to stay down.

If that doesn't stop someone,get him on the ground and break one of his fingers, it's not life threatening and it ends the fight in a heartbeat. Whenever a fight becomes physical though, you've already lost it, never forget that.

As a 20 year martial artist myself, please notice how in most of these videos, the martial artist in question had to be provoked numerous times before defending himself or other people. Please, let's not celebrating fighting as a means to solve external conflict (though rarely may be necessary to defend yourself or others). Celebrate the training, and what it should do to a person.

I myself can disable or kill an untrained person very quickly, much more than what these videos "martial artists" have shown to do, and that make me dangerous to myself ( I don't want to go to jail). Thanks God that I have not been in any tempting situations that cause me to fight. Some would be bullies who looked at my eyes often back out, I guess the murderous glances are in my eyes...

The problem is that usually fights on the street are not one on one. Theres a really good chance that when the wrestler takes his opponent down, he will end up getting a bottle to the back of his head.

Like the top of the head is a stupid idea, you'll just break your hand but hitting with fists is very important.
