Seth is cheap but he is sevearly handicap, if you can't beat a seth player it's probably a bad match up. You gotta outsmart him and apply yoru most damaging combos and you'll be set. Ironically he's actually balanced.
Even though on Medium difficulty Seth is hard, I still say Alpha-152 from DOA 4 is harder. At least Seth doesn't do ridiculous 30 hit combos.

Yeah, seth's arcade mode is freaking cheap (even if solid defending and a good strategy can beat him).
And i have to agree that the normal Seth is an overpowered character. Even if his hp is lower and his stun rate is highter, a good seth player can beat anyone in an online match.
Of course, this character still has a learning curve and that's why you see lots of ryus and kens and don't see that much seths... Let's just wait for ssf4 and find out the differences...

We should be glad that street fighter 4 aint on the nintendo revolution because this game is a disgrace in the entire street fighter trilogy. I hope they bring tatsunoko vs capcom to the us, and I also hope we finally get marvel vs capcom 3 because we've been waiting for years.

He is fun to play as and good as well. If you learn him well you could be quite a force. Even if you don't his offensive abilities are obvious. all his moves are command input (no charging) even Sonic Boom, so he can throw them extemely rapidly. The best character is up for debate at this stage it is still too early. But Sagat and Ryu seem to be popular amongst high level players. Don't tier whore though, pick someone you like and learn them every character has something to offer.

Blanka has some of the best taunts (or personal actions, whatever) in this game! I like the one where he turns his back on his opponent and scratches his backside whilst saying "Too weak!" in his cool beast voice. It's insulting and quick so it's not too risky! He is a good choice. I like Blanka players, they are good to watch when they'e good.

I've beaten Seth using Every Character on Easy All you have to do is Stall and wait for the right timing to get him :)
A cheap way to beat him is just to Kick Swipe; So when he goes down and when he comes back up, Kick swipe him again :D

seth only has 700 hp and is the easiest to stun
1 full ultra special of akuma can litterally almost kill him, even with full hp
zangief on the other hand has 1200 hp almosthe double of seth
the normal characters like ryu have 100 hp
akuma for tnstance has 800hp
the other characters have other ratings

Seth is overpowered if you can play him porperly. he's incredibly chepa and boring and bad for the game.
Even capcom admitted him and sagat were a mistake, if thats not enough even pro players say it.
Hopefully SSF4 will be better because SF4 is very ropey in parts and needs some serious tweaking.

I told you a good player won't let you get close to him, so his damage and stun rate become irrelevant.
Even if you do get in close, the game will be so boring to spectate it just looks flawed.

Seth is really easy to beat. I hate his Ultra though, so gay making you spin into him and hit a camera lens that isn't really supposed to exist. They could have come up with something better.

umm, youre not. Thats my guess. as i see it, El fuerte is scissors, zangeif is a boulder. Youd have an easier time beating zangeif with dan, least i KNOW thats possible, albeit hard as hell.

He is fun to play as and good as well. If you learn him well you could be quite a force. Even if you don't his offensive abilities are obvious. all his moves are command input (no charging) even Sonic Boom, so he can throw them extemely rapidly. The best character is up for debate at this stage it is still too early. But Sagat and Ryu seem to be popular amongst high level players. Don't tier whore though, pick someone you like and learn them every character has something to offer.

Blanka has some of the best taunts (or personal actions, whatever) in this game! I like the one where he turns his back on his opponent and scratches his backside whilst saying "Too weak!" in his cool beast voice. It's insulting and quick so it's not too risky! He is a good choice. I like Blanka players, they are good to watch when they'e good.
