Word Faith is witchcraft! it is forthem who actually worship the god of materials. who seek the things of the world and attempt to use the WORD to bend God's arm to their own will or wishes.
it is God's will not any person's will be done. not one's naming and claiming anything.
@itsallamindgame Sorry but it is not witchcraft. Jesus said if we believe we can have what we say. that is what it says but if you dont believe it of course it wont happen for you. Its all about what you believe. THe bible says all things are possible if we believe. So what does it have to say for you to realize that all things are possible?
IT IS SOO SAD TO HEAR ,THIS MAN SPEAK AS IF GOD WANTS HIS PEOPLE TO BE POOR,,,,THE WORD OF GOD IS SO VERY CLEAR ON THIS,,,,WHAT YOU SAY YOU SHALL HAVE,,,,PERIOD,,,,,..IS THIS MAN CALLING JESUS A LAIR,,,OR IS HE SAYING JESUS IS MISS UN-INFORMED,THIS MAN KEEPS SAYING WHAT HE FIGURES,GOD IS NOT INTEREST IN WHAT WE ARE FIGUREING GOD IS ONLY INTERESTED IN US FOLLOWING HIS WORD,THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE VERY CAREFUL,MANY LIKE HIM ARE UNKNOWING AGENTS OF SATAN,,,,,ANYTHING AGAINST GODS WORD, IS ANTI-CHRIST.
So shall MY WORD be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it SHALL NOT return UNTO ME VOID, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
WE PRAY GODS WORD IT WONT RETURN VOID...IF WE LIVE ACCORDING TO THE WORD THEN ALL HIS PROMISES BELONG TO US . THE WORD DOENT CONTRADICT ITSELF, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD WITHOUT FAITH (HEBREWS 11:6)
1COR. 2:12-14,16 that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things w/ spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: they R foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they R spiritually discerned. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

How can we say we love Jesus when we walk so softly about evil in the world? Lies and wickedness don't happen on their own. There is a person behind the deeds of evil. Blame the devil all you want. But the devil has no teeth where he doesnt find people confederate with him. If you are unwilling to identify your enemy when you see him, you are an evil watchmen.
Imagine being in a courtroom with someone telling you they saw the crime, witnessed everything about it. But when asked to identify the suspect, they responded with, well maybe its not my place, even though I did see him. The judge would hold that person in contempt. Even so, when we hold back identifying liars and false teachers with the same attitude, it should not surprise us if the Judge of all life will hold us in contempt too.
Paul also believed in the power of spoken words. This he exercises freely in the book of Acts with a woman who had a spirit of divination, notice in the text that it was only after he was grieved that he cast the spirit out of the woman. (the spirits of the prophet is subject to the prophet) And Paul tells Timothy that through doctrine or words, he could save not only himself but the hearer as well. The word that one speaks is his/her salvation or his/her problem.
Andersonfinearts r: your last 2 comments. 1)The word "doctrine" meaning "teaching" not "words" 2) There is nowhere in scripture where it says or implies that God has or needs faith. 3)The text u reference in Tim has NOTHING to do w/God having faith. It says God is faithful. "Faithful" means "reliable" "tustworthy" etc. Faith is, as pastor Blocker said so plainly, is "trust." Do not take this personally, but u need to get a good dictionary into a good bible school. .
Really,...unless you can read and understand Hebrew and Greek your advice for me to get into a good bible school or use a good dictionary is pretty unfounded. And, it's no point in arguing unless of course your faith can produce what the first century Church did. And, if it can't where then do you validate what you believe? Please don't say the Bible. For if all you can produce is words then you are misrepresenting the One in whom you believe. The Kingdom of God is in Power which is by faith.
Addendum; Sqairbiz here is 2 Timothy 2:13 translated closer to what the text is trying to convey; (BBE) If we are without faith, still he keeps faith, for he will never be untrue to himself. And if you are stuck on the KJV,here is strong's translation for you; From G3982; objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful: - believe (-ing, -r), faithful (-ly), sure, true. G4103 πιστός pistos Thayer Definition: 1) trusty, faithful 2) easily persuaded 2a) believing, confiding, trusting
T y for your ref. of Strongs n Thayer, all u did was make my point. "Objectively TRUSTSWORTHY"..Subjectivly TRUSTWORTHY' and "FAITHFUL." etc. The KJV,NKJV,NIV,NAS, etc. along w/ WE.Vines. All translate the word in 2Tim. 2:13 as FAITHFUL or a word that means the same as. My advise to u remains the same. Get a good dictionary n a good bible school.
U adviced me against using the bible to validate my belief. What else sh/I use, my subjective experiences? There r cults n occults that have started w/subjective experiences(e.g. Mormons) that did not jibe w/the Bible. The bible is more than just "words." It is Spirit n Life. THEREFORE, I TOTALLY REJECT YOUR ADVICE NOT TO USE THE BIBLE FOR A DEFENSE OF MY BELIEF.
I did not say that you should not use the Bible. I said if all you had was the Bible you could not validate what you believed in. What would it prove to shout out the message with no proof? Even the Lord testifies to this, "John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." So search em', but without the power that the disciples were told to be endued with all you have is what every other religion has...words.
Here's further proof that you need power to validate your message. 1Ki 18:24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. If Elijah had not provided the proof those people would not received the truth. Jesus came with signs to prove Himself. In fact, and here's a shocker, John 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. Go now, Be as Jesus
The translation as I gave to you from the BBE or Bible in Basic English shows you that you can translate the phrase from the original text as faith and not faithful...How stubborn can you be?...the danger in you having a bible is that you read it with an already made up mind for the intent. It's why Jesus argued with the people of his day. They misunderstood the spirit of the Word. You have the letter, and that's all you have, if this wasn't true you would not be so defensive.
You quote BBE but what about the other books that YOU brought up?(Strongs and Thayers) those books along w/ KJV NKJV NAS RSV etc.all translate the word as 'faithful" When I defend my belief by using the Bible I am only obeying Peter when he said "Be ready to give an answer (defense) for the hope" 1Peter 3;15. One q what prove have u got for your belief, have u called down fire from heaven like Elijah? (as per YOUR example)
The third def. in Thayer says, "believing". which denotes faith. Just because it's listed as the 3rd def. does not make it void in the text. For instance; the word conversation in the Bible does not mean the same as in our vernacular. In the Holy Writ it means lifestyle or whole living. The Greek 'pistos' for faithful and the Gk. 'peitho for faith are akin. When Peter asks you to be ready to give an answer it is evident that Peter didn't just use words. See Act 4:33. As for my own calling....
I won't magnify myself. Adonai has give me visions of Himself, angels, destruction and woe. But that's just that;I know it to be true of what I've seen, yet it is only true to me. I believe in the physical manifestation of power as the scripture supports. I've seen the sick get healed and have also been used of the Holy One in the gifts of healing. prophecy, and the word of knowledge. Most of these things that the Bible record & Jesus did are considered obsolete or occultism by the unbelieving .
@andersonfinearts My friend you have not addrs y ALL of the translation uses FAITHFULL instead of Faith.( I'll answer it for u). In Greek of that era the CONTEXT determined the meaning of the word. That is y all the translations (KJV,NIV,NAS etc including Vines Expository) uses the term FAITHFUL. Another ex. of that is the word PNUEMA which means WIND n in other places SPIRIT. Many other ex could be mentioned. I hope this settles the issue w/that text in Timothy.
I don't believe your teaching on this, not that believing what you say as opposed to what Copeland, Capps, Sutton, Hagin, Price teach about it has any affect on salvation, but I choose to believe what I have been taught about faith and the power of the tongue (it does speak life or death, please read James 3:5-10) for what we speak does indeed have power. I am cautious of preachers that speak against other preachers, calling them out by name. Read your Bible, the Holy Spirit is your teacher!
You accused me of preaching against those preachers whose name I mentioned. All I did was quote them there were no personal attacks. Also check the books of Galatians and Timothy; Paul called names. I hope you are not cautious of him too.
@loupi4bama Would you want someone to call out by name a murderer, rapists or other heinous crime? I am sure you would. Yet there is a greater evil than all of these: those who preach another gospel, which is not another gospel, but as Paul revealed it accursed. Protecting false teachers by not calling them out by name is in itself evil. If we dare not call them out by name, we have no business saying anything about what they teach.
@loupi4bama The apostle Paul, and John too, revealed those who were causing trouble in the church by name. Through out the Bible false prophets/teachers were exposed by the true servants of God. Sometimes it was done corporately and sometimes individually. Part of the cause of the abundance of heresy today in the church is because of people not willing to expose it directly at its source.
I am not sure what my belief in the gifts of the Spirit has to do w/my lesson on faith. Anyway, I was raised in a "sign-gift" ministry and continue to practice it today.
faith is the substance of things hoped for the evindence of things not seen. faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of god .''what better way to to hear it than to say it?and i dont think they mean for you to go around confessing i want a cold who would ? but if you are a christian you are confessing the word and wouldnt god like that? even jesus confessed the word . words are powerful christianaty is called the great confession . there and many verses to back what i am saying
Words themselves have no power it is the one who are saying them that has the power. the guys that tried to cast the demons out in Acts 19th chapter said the same things Paul were saying but the demons didn't leave. Many other examples can be stated
He then explains to them how to get their personal faith (which everyone has) to work on such a grand level; hence verse 22,23,24. The whatsoever is indicative of his (personal choice) whatsoever mentioned before.
It seems that you are mistaken faith as religion with faith as that of knowing. We know nothing unless we understand it. Keeping with the context,...Why did Jesus give them such a grand discourse on faith? It was (keeping with the context) because of verse 12,13,14,21. Jesus personally cursed a fig tree because of his personal hunger and his students heard, saw and was amazed at this feat. Cont'd
Obviously you did not listen to the lesson carefully. There is nothing in part-one or two about faith being a religion. So your whole argument is built upon a false premise.
Your explanation or definition of faith implies that you support it as a religion. You don't have to state it. If you believe in placing your affection or faith in a thing outside of yourself, you have actually denied the faith once delivered to the Church. God is not above his faith...this would imply unfaithfulness. 2 Tim. 2:13 strongly supports this. And, Romans 10 explains that the faith that Moses and the disciples had was already in them. Hence, the phrase, "I AM that I AM".

ITS MUCH EASIER TO UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU HAVE ON THE MIND OF CHRIST
HAGIN SR, CREFLO,COPELAND, NORVEL, WINSTON etc know who they are in Christ by faith!
CHARLES CAPPS GAVE A GREAT ILLUSTRATION on UNDERSTANDING YOUTUBE CLIP titled "calling things"
(Proverbs 4:7)Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
(HOSEA 4:6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge...
