To all the naysayers out there, Edguy changed their style for the first time back in 93-94. This kind of music (AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Scorpions) was the first kind of music they played so if they ever sold out, technically they did it in the 90's when they started playing melodic metal. They've just gone back to their roots with Tinnitus Sanctus. Don't get me wrong though, I still think Mandrake and Savage Poetry are their best albums.

if you want mypersonal opinion on this whole metal vs rock stuff, i think Edguy will never really leave metal behind completely, though their style is changing, and you can be sure after hard rock something else completely different will pop up in their albums

also, of everything they have done so far, tinnitus sanctus is surely the most eclectic edguy ever
