I would have figured that with the speed you guys ride and the bowling ball sized rocks and crevasses that frames would catch hell out there. I would like to ride out there oneday, looks like a killer time.
actually there is one good thing about riding here in new mexico, we almost never break anything, whereas mud tears up machines, we run full skid plates
i jump it all the time, i had the shocks setup for hard riding, it will handle jumps well and with the adjustments (compression, rebound and preload), can dial it in for most types of riding
well not much more than for usual control, alot of rock on the rides here, don't want to have the handlebars pulled from your hand, i've since added a gibson steering stabilizer to extra control
yeah, clutch kit, pipe, cdi box (if 07 or earlier, power commander for 08 model), if you go to highlifter forums, in the kawasaki forum, all kinds of info for clutch kits and setup
Nice ride, I have an 08 Brute 750, reminds me of the trails here in Colorado. Still too much snow, can't wait till Mid April! Your helmet cam makes great video.
thanks, i went south here in New Mexico, mountains still have way too much snow...I cut down the resolution on the video alot in order to post online, otherwise video's are way too big...

Damn! I see why you need those elka's. I'll just stay in the soft mud. I bet frames don't last very long with that type of terrain.

I'm just running the HMF pipe right now and was going to get the optimizer, but after your input, I'm getting the Power Commander. Thanks!

Sounds like mine, is that an HMF pipe? Did you install the HMF Optimizer on it too?
funkynoll 3 years ago
Thats an HMF Penland ECO. I put on the Power Comamnder, much easier installation, the way it should be, and more versatile than the Optimizer
