Change restrictions without code. Download iBackupBot, lets you edit backup files. Backup the iphone. Open it in ibackupBot. Find library/configurationprofiles/­usersettings.plist. Double click it and in the list of all the restrictions (eg allowitunes and allowappinstallation etc) followed by a value true or false. Change whatever by delete/replace. Also edit library/configurationprofiles/­public info/effectiveusersettings.pli­st. Click save. Restore from backup. Works on iOS 5.0.1, not jailbroken

Thanks so much! This worked perfect i recovered the restrictions pswd on my iPad 2 using your easy to follow tutorial. I had totally spaced, and forgot what I had entered. Another cool benefit of having a jail broken device. I hope iOS 5 gets jail broken right after release.
