@HarriHaffi Well, to be more accurate, the optimistic trend in anime runs from the mid/late 80s to mid/late 90. Also, the 80s was a very polarized decade with either very pessimistic or very optimistic shows. The optimistic streak is most prominent in the 90s not only because that's when this trend reached its height, but also many shows from the late 80s was also still on air in the 90s. This show specifically is a prime example, since it ran from 89 to 90, connecting the two decades!
@speedstriker hmm...so this show(which I obviously don't know anything about) had its premier 89? and ended 90? anyhow What I was talking about the theme music! It sound like they are using synthesizers which to my knowlege was the instrument om the 80s. So my question is: Does this music have a 90s fell or 80s fell? It would be wrong to base it all on if there is synthesizers used or not! But I no pro when it comes to music so that's how I judge..Could you give me a more professional view? MVHH
@HarriHaffi Well, stylistically, I guess it is closer to the 80s, though I don't think that's very relevant, especially since musical style is even less definitive than themes and tones of anime. I'm not expert when it comes to music either, but a many themes from the 90s also had a very synth heavy feel. But I see you point! Synthesizers where pretty common during the 90s! And to be hones I think of 80s rock when I think of the 80s. (and pop when it comes to the 90s.)Never did stay the 90s wheren't a age marked with positive and optimistic shows! Can't remembre any sad och pessimistic show execpt maybe highlander... which really builds on the movie/movies from the 80s... So what do you think defines the 00s?
