And other than the Enzo and tied with the 599 GTE, the 0-62 is the same or better. I ran at Gainsevuille Sppedway and hit the quarter at 11.62. Recently sold her for $240,000.00. SL 65? Dipshit! 4.2. Even the standard 600 is quicker AS IT HOOKS UP BETTER AND HAS 600 HP STOCK!!! Do your research moron.

Regarding below, raced my neighbor's GT-R. Beat my by two lengths to 80, but left him by at least 6-8 lengths, if not 10, by the time I was at 145 MPH. He shut down at that point. And I put 20 inch rims versus 19. The unwanted effect is that my gearing is lower (more top end, less bottom....undesirable in the US) . Stock 19's and I woyuld have at least tied to 80 and crushed in the quarter.
The only problem I have with my SL600 is the turbo lag. Takes 3 seconds for the car to lift off like a rocket!! But theres a device called sprint-booster which virtually eliminates the lag for SL600s. Im going to buy one, and rip the crap out of all the SL55 AMGs.
I will check it. I had mine sent to Germany for a Carlsson makeover. She is pretty fast. Wish I had done the dash changeover but that would have been another 20 K. Suuuuucks!

Keep in mind the top is down, it is hot as hell (altitude density effects turbo boost negatively), the rolll bar is up, and she isn't floored, as there was traffic. The car is a Carlsson S5, which has the 6.4 from the 65, Ran the price to $275,000 but held value well. Plus she was tame as a kitten till you nailed it. Breaks loose at 100 so you have to feather the throttle. Merc needs an AWD tranny.

Still, would take a Stage 3 or higher Renntech to match. Do your research. I wn a RennTech and seven AMGs of various types by the way.

Yup, a 2007 Sl600. Although I am modified a bit. About 480awhp. I love these amg and merc cars though. Monsters at high speed. I got to try a friends 2004 cl 55 amg. Great car the pull is very linear and effortless, very stable at high speed.
that's cus the new gt-r is a weiner schnitzel above 100mph. It's only quick in the 0-60 and 0-100 time because of gearing and AWD. Above that, cars such as this and other uber quick cars will toast it. Still an awesome car, though.
The highest I could reach was 155mph due to the limiter on the SL600.

SLR is quicker to 100. Roughly 7.6 seconds for the SLR, roughly another second for the sl600.

that's cus the new gt-r is a weiner schnitzel above 100mph. It's only quick in the 0-60 and 0-100 time because of gearing and AWD. Above that, cars such as this and other uber quick cars will toast it. Still an awesome car, though.
