@EUMP thank you thats encouraging to hear, especially since one of my friends will be on a YZF R125, but yeah I would have never taken the KR to being a tour bike.
@EUMP hi I live in north wales and im getting one, just wanted to ask whether it starts first time every time when you press the electric start, secondly do you think it would hold its own if I did abit of a biking trip to scotland? cheers- josh
@JoshTilley121 it's always started for me every time, never any struggle of it starting and yeah it would be fine for any journeys, it's more of a sports touring than a sports bike so you will find it more comfortable compared to the YZF R125, but not as comfortable as lets say the honda varadero 125, but it's the best of both worlds
@raybow1993 it's like any other bike in the rain, tyres are alot bigger than the CBR125's, standard tyres have plenty of grip, when in wet conditions I normally tend to ride in less aggressive style and don't make alot of quick handlebar turns/ low cornering so it's fine in the wet :)
yer ill be keeping it for ages, to get me to work and back so ill get my good use outof it, and most bikes i have been looking at are 2500 second hand
@raybow1993 haha, i wouldnt buy it new though as you'd lose about a £1000 when coming to resale as it drops value asap, it's like it with 50cc's and 125s
@raybow1993 Had it since September, been 100% fine, needed a new battery at first but thats because the previous owner had only done 300 miles since he bought it in 2008 so it was left in mint condition in a garage :)
@raybow1993 It's also very reliable, i'd compare to the CBR125 by honda just slightly wider and higher with a more relaxed posture so suitable for all heights :)
im thinking about buying this bike, whats the top speed please, on forums it says 65mph but some one else has told me 75mph, is thier away to make it go faster or not ?
@raybow1993 I've had 80mph on it, with wind behind slight tilt and thats the max as the engine wont do anything past it, would be handy for the extra gear at that point, average speed is around 70mph-75mph dependent on factors such as body position and weight and also weather conditions (such as wind pushing you back = slower speed approx 65) so if your light/ average you'll get around the 70-75mph, hope this helps :)
@grantourismo0109 yeah, most people will think it's chinese, even though it's made in taiwan, but these bikes are just about the same in reliability as the CBR, not as fast however, but alot more comfortable as the size of the KR125 is abit more wider and the handle bars are up more, so it's perfect for tall riders or even average (i'm 6"7 have no trouble) and it lets you have a sports touring posture, which is perfect for a 125
@grantourismo0109 yeah it does fine, keeps up with traffic and you can overtake lorrys, coaches etc fine, but remember it's a 125 so you wont be overtaking many cars etc that are over 70mph.
