Jimmy Rogers was such a great singer. and on Jan.10th 2008 my son Jimmy died at only 35, so this song, Train Carrying Jimmy Rogers home, has a double meaning for me.

I've said it before.....I drove 875 miles to see them once and I'd do it again..if I was able, I'd walk it. :-) This song gives me chills. Pat Henry can do NO wrong! This entire band is perfect. Glad Mike Compton is back now!

You can find it on a Rounder Records 1987 album (CD 0232) eponymously named The Nashville Bluegrass Band.
(Just wanted to use the word "eponymously" for one time in my life.)
