1. Yes, frozen is often preferred among snake owners. Ppl have their opinions on this which I'm not going to get into.

2. Then just feed frozen, sometimes I don't like doing it either believe it or not, but it is what it is I guess. Burmese are much tamer animals(BUT NEVER TRUST A PYTHON, unless it's a ball python, lol). I was bitten pretty bad by a 15 foot Burm which really opened my eyes. Since then, my approach to Retics is much more weary now.

But, I don't feed pre-killed simply b/c I want it to keep some of its insticts. I do not like the commentary as it does seem like we are just enjoying the kill. It's part of life so if they seem a bit injured from the kill then I think that's fine unless I notice it starts to get infected, which has never happened. My other snakes, much smaller don't have a problem either. I mean, once a snake has they prey in its grasp then it's probably not a good idea to mess with it.
