what im trying to prove is that mac OSX is NOT completely reliable. it is in no way "perfect" like apple is trying to say. and windows is cleaning their act up. with windows 7, who knows what they might come up with next. they may even make a virus free operating system.

Tryed it, actually my whole family has Mac's I'm the only one with Windows 7. They try to convince me to get a Mac because apparently its "better" I don't really find it appealing at all besides it's good looks and easy interface.

If I did switch over I could kiss all my games goodbye, and my windows messenger...sure they have one for Mac but its terrible. I COULD use VMWare to emulate Windows 7 but let's face it...it will never be the same.

And by the way, every time you get a BSoD, your computer gets just a little slower. BSoD happens when temporary files build up, since Windows is terrible with that. Mac OS X defrags as it runs, Windows has a manual defrag program that takes HOURS. When you don't manually defrag, it gets the BSoD and dumps all of those temporary files.

People tell me Macs are too easy to use. WTF? Simple is BAD?

@freegrenades that is entirley untrue.. when a BSOD happens, all processes are stopped, nothing is deleted. the computer reboots and the computer detects the problem in the process. in a mac, if you crash - you're screwed over. there is no BSOD. there is no recovery. i've had a mac before..

The manufacturing process on most mac pc's is great. a lot of that is cosmetic, so I don't see it as a selling point, seeing as it's a pc, not a blow up doll.

HOWEVER, the inescapable fact remains that for the price you pay, apple gives you some of the lowest value hardware. £816 for a 9400m/2.26GHz core2duo/2gb memory? (standard macbook)

Those are the specs of a £400 windows laptop last i checked.

Friend of mine told yesterday that sometimes Windows 7 boots up and doesnt see his keyboard or mouse; no way to log in; did it on his last system too sometimes; irritating when it decides to do that.

This is one of the things people should stay away atleast until SP1 - or FOREVER.

Microsoft (PC's) exceed Mac's in the categories of software and program installation. I PC can install near anything a Mac can (i.e. iTunes, Quicktime, Safari) where PC's can install games. Also, taking into consideration that most programs come out for PC as their first priority.

I am a Mac user and I love it. I have a MacBook 13" Aluminum with Snow Leopard and I love it but I am just not a fan of Apple's ads. I've used Windows 7 and it is an amazing OS. Bravo to Microsoft for releasing an excellent operating system. It has MUCH less of the problems Vista had and Apple shouldn't talk, there are many issues I never had with Leopard that I now have with Snow Leopard such as some odd gesture glitches. Still, don't hate on 7. It is an excellent upgrade.

The problem with MAC ads, they can't compete with Windows Ads where it talks about people not competition, would you imagine a mac guy talking about Saving money for places like Africa, THEY CAN'T, why it's toooooo expensive and only people with luxerial life style can afford them .. for me PC is the choice for every one, a president or a guy living in Gana looking for a food, education and protection, WE Asked WINDOWS 7 To ship on cost effective labtops and netbook.. IT DID, This is MY IDEA !!

A) Just because PC always wears a suit, it doesn't mean that he is the better one.
