  • awesome song!

  • Its a shame snow patrol changed to pop i lost all respect for them :(

  • i hate when people post their problems on youtube. but then again when you feel terrible you just want someone to listen. this song is great at making you forget your problems or atleast making you feel better about them. thanks snow patrol you have helped me through another tough time in life

  • beautiful song...

  • Pour info la vidéo est un court métrage de Claude Lelouch, le titre est "c'était un rendez vous" et ça a été tourné à Paris en 1975

  • This is a sad song....

  • which city is this???????

  • the song was filmed in the streets of london :)

  • for the full video of this in paris google

    Ye Olde Getaway In France

  • I got a feeling...

  • this song is gd :)

  • actually, it's a Mercedes.

  • yes, he put the ferrari sound under the movie, it was indeed a mercedes 450 SEL 6.9

  • no its not its a ferrari, an enzo i think actually

  • its in paris and its a ferrari

  • in some windows of houses you see that a police car is following him, prob for safety reasons for the shooting of the clip

  • *Mark Moment*

  • So Nice!!!

  • the start sounds like the black eyed peas - i gotta feeling

  • hahaha i didnt even see your comment before I posted mine! lol

  • lmaoo :L

  • Muiito bom'' elles canta pra caraiu' cara' mes que vem emk Santa fe do sul' ;D

  • kkkkkkk

  • the clip is interesting, I liked the music ... very good

  • Good song :D

  • Speeding just so he could get to some blonde chick "Priceless".

  • let me guess what you're driving......... a bicycle

  • amazing song with an amazing video.

so awesome how in the show they projected the video in the background at the same time.

  • the beggining of this song reminds me of "I've gotta feiling" Black Eyed Peas copyed it ahahaha ( joking guyss )

  • Snow Patrol came to Atlanta last night & they were AMAZING! The place was standing room only & everyone was smiling, singing and dancing! What a fantastic band! If you have a chance to see them live, GO!!

    Atlanta <3 Snow Patrol!

  • Realy amazing movie: "C'etait un Rendez Vous" (or short film) you should have seen the reactions of the peaple who saw this at first! this is not from it thoug, its based in it i gues :D

  • It's Paris, it comes from a famous short film called "C'etait un Rendez Vous" in 1976.

  • I heard its afghanistan , or mars somewhere along those lines

  • Paris.. it is a ferrari..

  • yes its paris, and it may also be from the 70's but its no taxi. ive seen these video b4 i think it was a ferrari or maybe a mercedes cant quite remember

  • This shit cunt wouldn't load! grr! Love ya though! mwah!

  • it's paris. from an underground 70s vid of a taxi driver racing round in the early hours.

and it obviously *isn't* tokyo btw.

  • omigosh i love this song!

  • Paris for sure

  • its obviously tokyo!

  • If it was tokyo, then it would be a huge, EXTREMELY MODERNIZED city. This is somewhere in europe. Germany, France, Maybe? Rome? I saw a bunch of roman arches, and Rome is famous for that.

  • ahaha its called sarcasim

  • Paris

  • paris for sure

  • Thats not london. This video is a digitall remastered piece of a high speed Driving Vdeos from the mid 70's.

A guy was trying to prove he could hit 100 MPH in his Ferrari at the time in the middle of the city during early hours.

  • i got a feeling copied this intro. WTF.

    snow patrol ftw :D

  • That can't be London, where is all the traffic???

  • I have proof it isn't London (well, almost, the video could be reversed): Note that they're driving on the right side of the road. In London (and all of England, among other countries) they drive on the left.

  • i love london!! Great city. Spent one week there and it may have been the best in my life....

  • this is my 2nd favorite snow patrol song my first is chasing cars i fucking love that soing

  • i love this song !

    they are amazing live (LLL)

  • please name a Ferrari with a V10 :D and don't come talking about an F1 racecar

  • i keep thinking beps gonna come out of nowhere and just singing "i gotta feeling"

  • Best alt. rock album of 2006 in my honest opinion.

  • Love snow patrol and this song !!! kind a weird how i found da vid tho

  • .. Yeah but this song was out before "I Got A Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas so..

  • beautiful song

  • I wont waste a minute..without you.

    Great!

  • It is! You can really relate emotionally to the lyrics in this song, especially that specific line!!

  • Este vídeo faz-me lembrar as minhas primeiras aulas de condução....xD... Mas esta música leva a minha mente a sítios dos quais não quero voltar a sair... É simplesmente linda...A música é realmente a verdadeira linguagem universal... Just Open Your Heart...

  • tell me that you'll ooopen your eyeees

tell me that you'll ooopen your eyeees

    lalalalalalalala :D

  • very very good!i really like it!

  • really really gud vid and song

  • superb

  • is that a vespa the videos being filmed from?

  • I think it was the directors Ferrari, they had spare film left from the motion picture they were making so did this for fun, then snow patrol used it, you can find out more about it from googling.

  • ´perfeita

  • muito boa essa musica é igual a coldplay sempre faz lembra alguma coisa.

  • Musique de la serie Black Donnelys !

  • yea, they do.

    shit311.

  • wait

    why?

  • This song better be sung to me if I ever fall into a coma.

  • LMFAOOOOOOOOO <3

  • that was hilarious :D

  • Most awesomely introspective video in the history of video. all this seems strange and untrue and i wont waste a minute without u

  • essa musica é muito linda , eu viajo

  • The best song*

  • it ends in the sacrecere church right? or how ever you say it :\ just this huge white church on a hill and theres like a hundred steps to climb before you get there! am i right? o.O

  • This is in paris yes, i am not sure about the church, but if it's the "Sacre Couer" then you're right =D

  • yeah thas what I meant XD . its just big and white and theres a really nice view from there :]

  • mooi muziek

  • I wish they'd done a bit more with the song, but I still like it.

I love Gary Lightbody's voice its brilliant

  • one question....what the hell is the girl he hugs doing up in montmartre at like 5 or 6 oclock in the morning? xD

  • She was in a bad party leaving a nasty guy and waiting for the right one? Greetings from México Love this songs

  • You must be deaf.

  • LISTEN TO THIS SONG AND THEN LISTEN TO killsiwtch engages "THE RETURN", ... i 'm not trying to start anything, but these songs are very similar

  • not even close to similar.. and this song came out before theirs.

  • actually the songs are very similar, and killswitch obviously copied.

  • the footage is from the film C'était un rendez-vous by director Claude Lelouch

  • lol

  • lol at arguing at the video. This was shot in Paris in the 70s. It's a famous video, and was done illegally by a French film-maker called Claude Lelouch. It was a single shot. Not edited.

  • Oxegen 09 ..... jus bck 4rm listenin 2 these guyz ..... PURE CLASS !!!! WOW !!

  • love this...first snow patrol song I really got into besides Chasing cars...excellent!

  • I remember seeing this video probably 7 or 8 years ago. Some guy took a brand new Ferarri and tried to set a speed record going from one end of Paris to the other 'through town' He was arrested...

In fact, if you put in the right search words you'll probably find that video here too complete with the sound of this moron constantly 'red-lining' his engine.

  • lmfao a Ferris Bueller would so do that.

1 you can never go too far

2 There's no way a guy like this is going to catch me.

  • regardless of where it was shot, this was not sped up via editing. you can clearly tell that if you understood the concept of camera angles and movement. The video camera is mounted to the vehicle very low to the ground, making the vehicle speed seem faster. It's common to have an altered sense of speed depending on the size and distance from the ground the vehicle you are traveling in is.This plays on that.

  • I can assure you that this is not Stockholm. There are about 15 landmarks that are obviously in Paris. Furthermore, the video identifies itself as such in the beginning.

  • You are all idiots, this video is real. It's from a run in Stockholm. It was an old Ferrari I believe. I've seen the actual footage with sound and all. Look at the body roll, and birds. They all happen in real time. Everything you see that you can't believe is not fake...

  • this song is fantastic...I've seen the two days ago in Milan...WOW!

  • brill song.. i love it=) oxegen here i come!!!

  • No it isn't it's from C'etait un rendevous it SAYS so at the start,it's a short film..

  • Henkie!

  • Its speed up just check on the blickers the flash real fast so

  • this

  • He didn't actually speed through the streets, what they do is drive the speed limit and afterwards they put it on the avid editor or any type of editor and speed up the video on the computer.

  • wonder if the guy got speeding tickets?

  • Lol he probably did, but he told the cop he would send him the album if he could let him off the hook!

  • This is from 'Escape from Stockholm'

  • reminds me of a line off of we were meant to live by switchfoot. "maybe weve been livin with our eyes half open maybe were meant and broken" (forgive me if i got the line wrong)

  • It's "Bent and broken."

  • I was just listening to that song!

  • it's "bent and broken" but yeah, quite similar

  • Haha, of couuurse dublin is so much better ! isn't it ? I went there in april (school trip, don't go thinking i WANTED to go there), and it was soooo boring.

    sorry for you too! ;)

  • Does anyone knows wich town is this?

  • Paris...

  • You say this with such a nostalgia..cute.

Yeah, i know, Paris is wonderful. But we eventually get used to it ;)

  • (i was talking to you, 83Kees !)

  • Paris is an expensive shithole bro..........sorry for you!

  • At first I thought this guy was crazy speeding this fast. I mean he almost hit birds, cars, and everything eles! But when I saw the ending, I swooned.

  • i like this song and i had an idea of how it would play out as a music video. But this really ruined it for me. still like the song though.

  • To anyone if you see someone you feel you could fall in love with , an they reciprocate.

Falling into true love hurts, but it's worth the risk.

  • has anyone heard "I Gotta Feeling" by Black Eyed Peas? the guitar at the beginning sounds alot like it. but this is a good song

  • 5 minutes from Louvre to the Basilique du Sacre Coer!

  • Fantastic

  • I really like this song !

  • I love this song and the music video that place is beautiful but I'm sad right now so i'm listening to depressing music and this makes me feel depressed for some reason..........

  • hey this song rocks, but if you are down want to hear something cool?...cat stevens "wind of my soul"

  • good video for this

  • lol yeah.

  • dude what did i write? haha, it wont let me see my comment with all the thumbs downs i got

  • you said the beginning sounds like kelly clarkson's "since you been gone"

  • part with the doves is nice

  • I've seen police cars driving through Paris that fast.

  • kudos to the driver

  • Comment removed

  • lol the sound is a ferrari though he drives a merc 450 SEL 6.9 he later on pasted the sound of his ferrari in it. he drove the car himself though some people speculated that there was some pro driver behind the wheel. the film is called C'était un rendez-vous. look on wikipedia for more info

  • i never want tat song to end..

.i love it makes me feel all happy inside :D

  • aww

  • man whoever was driving the car sure is crazy

    ...

Till I saw the ending. I wish a guy would drive that fast just to see me.

  • i love where it starts with the music at 4:00 its like im waking up, seeing for the first time, like a newborn child.

  • good fucking music - dublin or paris?

  • It's rather Befast or Paris but whatever... Belfast (or rather Derry...) for me!

  • It's Paris..

look for "Rendezvous in paris" and you'll find the original..

  • This video is probably shot from a hydropneumatic citroen (DS,CX, whatever)... the driving is pretty 'aggressive' at some points, but the camera hardly notices the irregularities in the road.

  • Don't think so! Coudn't go that fast!

  • Hah! Sure they can...

...and this isn't all that fast really. It just looks fast because of the narrow streets.

  • Well I explained myself badly I meant they can't go that fast and be that flexible (or able to take such turns so fast)... Must rather be a sport car...

  • They cornering of hydropneumatic Citroen's is pretty good actually. It was proven in rally races, where they were an odd choice, but very competitive.

Look it up: citroen DS CX rally

...But it's really they way this car 'floats'. The way the nose raises when the driver accelerates; the way the car levels 'after' a bump; the slightly 'delayed' roll in corners... even hitting the curb @ 2:41, effortlessly, without a shock in the cam.

I definitely believe these are hydropneumatics at work.

  • Believe me they did. The film clip is from C'etait un rendez-vous -- a short film made in 1976 by Claude Lelouch detailing a Mercedes 450SEL 6.9 driving through the streets of Paris at 5:30AM at speeds of over 220km/h-- The original soundtrack dubbed over the top was that of a Ferrari 275GTB.

  • So it was a 'cedes?... well, they had some pretty good suspension as well... but I also read on wiki that it was shot with a gyro stabilized camera. 8)

His average speed was 78.64 km/h (48.86 mph) So, i don't think he went faster than 220 km/h at any point. More likely is the 140 km/h that independent groups calculated.

  • Exactly... which is what I said before, except then I got voted down and sworn at. Love YouTube.

  • love this songg its such a nice slow songg :)

  • oh excuse me lol i ment birds :]

  • paris.....60-70`s...... i was born in the wrong years...thnaks for the video...but where did snow patrol take the video from???

  • hahahha Butterflies there obviously bird lmao :]

  • hahah and you obviously meant "birds" =) but it's ok it was a cute mistake.

  • I love the part at 3:10 ! Butterflies :)

  • dude those are pigeons

  • *shhhhh* (nobody has to know that!) :P
