I like the idea of the scar H, using 7.62mm to (in theory) blend into any hot zone and pass off covert ops soldiers as local militants (who use the ak).

It was designed for American use and is manufactured in the US therefore it is an American gun.

I live in Belgium, a scar is definitely a belgian rifle. The factory is called FNH (Fabrique Nationale d'armes de guerre Herstal) Herstal being the town where the factory is located. They do alse have a factories in Portugal, Japan and the US.
They're not made in the US. If you look inside the magwell, there's a pin near the front that doesn't serve any real purpose, and has been ground down inside. It was put there originally after being manufactured in Belgium so that the rifle would not accept a high capacity magazine, which made it legal to import to the US (or export from Belgium, one of the two). Once the rifle arrived in the US the pin was ground down and some US made parts swapped in to make them legal here.
@CameronGullion The original design is from Belgium (the one you see here) but all of the newer SCARs where made by the US. They are built in South Carolina I think

SCAR-H has 20 rounds while M4 has 30. SCAR has better stopping power but lacks 10 rounds. m4 lacks stopping power but gives you hardly any recoil and +10 rounds compared to SCAR. The best choice would be HK416 chambered to 6.8 SPC. The Army maybe. Marines will be still using M4s.

And i don't know if HK416 can fit the SPC 6.8, since the chamber is designed for 5.56 (according to Future Weapons : First Strike) . The REC7 is the one which firing SPC 6,8. And also another model called "Grendel" firing Grendel 6.5mm also great.
@IWSFODD Im pointing out HK416 because the whole gas system is changed to increase reliability. While REC7 uses the same piston as the casual M4. M4 can explode when you start shooting to fast after grabing it from water. hk does not. and it jams less frequently.

Saive took over. He developed the FAL. Subsidiary fn located in US supplies the military m249 SAW, M16s, n m240 7.62 machn gun. Now SCARS, p90, 5-7.
They may not be the best (as it's impossible to a gun that is "the best" in a world full of rifles that are designed for different purposes) Germany is definitely one of the best weapon innovators in the world

There are a lot of good guns in the world. I am a big fan of FN (as i am belgian, there may be a little bit of patriotism involved tho) and i love the P90. But, never the less, i think the SCAR is one of the best weapons of the moment.

i hate the scar and the acr but in a side by side contest, the acr wins hands down. in my humbe opinion, lwrc's short stroke gas piston is by far superior though..

nice, and you could mod that into a carbine with almost no effort since the barrel sticks out an extra six inches or so. if you are using a silencer you might as well mod it to a carbine since will probably shoot subsonic ammo.
Suppressor seems like a complete waste of money with a gun like that.

SCAR-H has 20 rounds while M4 has 30. SCAR has better stopping power but lacks 10 rounds. m4 lacks stopping power but gives you hardly any recoil and +10 rounds compared to SCAR. The best choice would be HK416 chambered to 6.8 SPC. The Army maybe. Marines will be still using M4s.

@patrolmostwanted Well, i haven't touched the SCAR-H yet so i can't confirm that.
And i don't know if HK416 can fit the SPC 6.8, since the chamber is designed for 5.56 (according to Future Weapons : First Strike) . The REC7 is the one which firing SPC 6,8. And also another model called "Grendel" firing Grendel 6.5mm also great.

@IWSFODD Im pointing out HK416 because the whole gas system is changed to increase reliability. While REC7 uses the same piston as the casual M4. M4 can explode when you start shooting to fast after grabing it from water. hk does not. and it jams less frequently.

There are 2 reasons why mainly this gun is made in America
- We Belgians cannot trade firearms with a country in war
- This gun is mainly used by SOCOM and as regulations states that they only can use firearms fabricated in the USA

FN herstals corporarte is in Belgium. They have factories in US, japan, portugal, n germany. Their sister company is fnhusa. John browning is one their pioneer designer after he pass D. Saive took over. He developed the FAL. Subsidiary fn located in US supplies the military m249 SAW, M16s, n m240 7.62 machn gun. Now SCARS, p90, 5-7.

There are a lot of good guns in the world. I am a big fan of FN (as i am belgian, there may be a little bit of patriotism involved tho) and i love the P90. But, never the less, i think the SCAR is one of the best weapons of the moment.

i hate the scar and the acr but in a side by side contest, the acr wins hands down. in my humbe opinion, lwrc's short stroke gas piston is by far superior though..

nice, and you could mod that into a carbine with almost no effort since the barrel sticks out an extra six inches or so. if you are using a silencer you might as well mod it to a carbine since will probably shoot subsonic ammo.
