Get Deans connectors for the batterys, the ones u have suck, Check out my SV-27. mine is much faster now with two 5 cell 4000mah 18.5v Li-Po batterys in parellel.

These are fast boats he just must be using cheap batterys. These boats will hit 40+mph with a couple good lipo batterys right out of the box. They are one of the top 2 or 3 rtr boats on the market. I believe they are the best bang for the buck.

The fastest gas boats run around 100-110( I dont know the exact speed) The Electrics are now reaching 120 and even up to 140MPH. plus lehner, neu, and plettenburg motors have tons more horsepower than a little nitro engine. its the facts ask anyone. Get your facts straight. Now with new A123 and lipo tecnology, Electrics may reach 150mph in the next few years. Their fastest car was an electric. So there you have it, electric is faster and more powerfull than nitro.

Yes electrics are faster than nitro. Its a proven fact now that brushless motors with the combo of a lipo reach tremendous amounts of RPM's in a short time. Nitros can too..but it takes longer for that powerplant to reach that speed. Brushless however when u get into lots of volts and amps with neu motors, plettenburg motors, now your talking waaay more than nitros. Alloutcustom1213 is right.
