Nice sounding band you got there.

  • sorry but are you sure it was done with AutoCAD?

  • @DanielSeverinoCAD positive, Whats the big deal?

  • @jpmahar No problem, do not be nervous ... I was surprised only by the high quality and resolution of video. We used some special feature to Render? What is your video card?

  • Thats the Ferrari

  • yawn ......................

  • It's AutoCAD using solids and 3D mesh

  • Can you export these files as other files? So we can import them into games?

  • what format do you need?

  • .vob files. Maybe you know this game , Live For Speed. i wanted to make a replica from our Mazda 626 and then convert it to .vob

  • @jpmahar .obj :D

  • Omg its autocad 3d max its only for noobs like you

  • Give it a couple more design projects and I tink you have the potential to be pretty good.

The camera motions are pretty good

  • you really made that in autocad thats amazing

  • what CAD did u use?

  • 2008

  • music video ??????????

  • hey, great work!

just a quick question, i've been playing around with animation and how do you get the scene to actually render each frame rather than just shade it?

    thanks

  • I believe I did this with a walkthrough where the camera followed a spline around the car and focused one one point on the car. When setting it up i think there is a option in the dialog box that lets you select the render style. Of course you have to apply different materials to make it look right like black tiers, glass and shinny red paint etc.

  • Well done

  • Very well done. I worked as an AutoCAD drafter/designer for 5 years in the mechanical/electrical field (only 2D though) and this is a beautiful piece of work. Thank you for sharing your creation.

  • Not to bother a rather old video or anything, but what do you mean 3D meshes? What tools did you use?

  • Well to get you started

    Go menu draw > modeling > meshes > 3D mesh, now (m) 3 (n) 3

Now click on the screen 9 times, 3 in a row, right to left, 3 clicks high, 3 clicks mid, 3 clicks bottom.

Bam you get a mesh with 9 points that can be moved in all X, Y, Z positions.

Try moving them around and use the properties fit/smooth.

    Hope that helps

  • How do I add more points to the mesh?

  • when creating a mesh in top view "m" = X and "n" = y kinda without a "Z" value. get it? just add more m's or n's whatever you like.

you can adjust the "Z" value after the mesh is created.

    Experiment with it

The help files explane it beter than I can.

    Rock on.

  • my render..not this render..why??

  • real nice..

  • really cool :D

  • Hey bro are you self taught. I am a cadd major and this is the exact route I am trying to take with it. any advice or websites you can give will be of a huge help.

  • Use everything you got and just go for it.

  • how long did this take and how do you give it such a matalic look in autocad

  • It took me about 30 hours or more. Most of the body is made with 3D meshes and it was the first time I used them. Rendering, went for the shinny car look.

  • Use "watch in high quality"

    for best results.
