Awesome, totally awesome. I don't remember which engine it was, but it came from Salida, Colorado. There was a time, a war time, that engine used wood and coal. My great grandmother through a series of circumstances became the engineer. She later retired from SP as a conductor. In 1969 she and I were visiting there. The engineer was her former fireman. They rode that engine together for the last time. It's so awesome seeing it again. Thank you.
This is one of the few amusement parks that hasn't ruined a beautiful piece of machinery. I can see it if they started with a pile of junk but if it's worth it, they should keep them how they were designed.

I remember working this event. I believe I was on engine 41 that morning. I wish we did this more often. That was an awesome day. :)

I think they double head it because it was with the NMRA convention.
