  • hey ichainsaw do you guys work through the day or is it in shifts

  • Awesome, totally awesome. I don't remember which engine it was, but it came from Salida, Colorado. There was a time, a war time, that engine used wood and coal. My great grandmother through a series of circumstances became the engineer. She later retired from SP as a conductor. In 1969 she and I were visiting there. The engineer was her former fireman. They rode that engine together for the last time. It's so awesome seeing it again. Thank you.

  • I remember working this event. I believe I was on engine 41 that morning. I wish we did this more often. That was an awesome day. :)

  • This is one of the few amusement parks that hasn't ruined a beautiful piece of machinery. I can see it if they started with a pile of junk but if it's worth it, they should keep them how they were designed.
