Things always seem more legit in a beaker. I read that a van was totaled due to half a bottle of the works spilling in it, eating the carpet, damaging frame underneath and residual fumes posed a danger of eventually eating electrical connections. This stuff is serious
Zhouff, your an idiot... CO2.. HA HA HA HA!!! CUM on SON!! It's freakin H and Cl Gas u moron... Obviously u have never had chemistry.... CO2.... HA HA HA HA....
@XxBulletEaterxX REALLY?!?!?!? I'M THE DUMBASS!?!?!?!?!? OKAY, READ A F***ING CHEMISTRY BOOK!!! Hydrogen is absolutely flammable! And our atmosphere contains mostly nitrogen, which is INERT. Seriously, does anyone ever do any fact checking before they say these stupid things? But seriously, NITROGEN? FAIL.
I kinda have to deal with this reaction whenever I have to dispose of my gold-refining waste... copper gets dissolved in the HCl, but it's much more environmentally friendly to refine the waste first by putting aluminum into it... it bubbles and boils and foams violently (so it must be down slowly and carefully) and the aluminum dissolves but red metallic copper drops out in a grainy form, that can be seperated from the rest of the liquid, which can then be neutralized with a base.
FUCK...THIS.....SONG......

@harryj1100 It's Cl? Chlorine? No it's not. Learn your elements.

what is the gas formed?

@Zhouff I'm not exactly sure, I think it's either hydrogen or chlorine. I'll find out soon.

@Zhouff The reaction you're seeing i 2Al + 6 HCl = 2 AlCl3 + 3 H2, the H2 produced is hydrogen gas.

@Zhouff its actually CO2 released from the heat. its the same thing as carbonated drinks hence the bubbling.

@ToxicEmbrace90 So what your saying is you can drink this?
XxShOeEaTeRxX 1 year ago
@XxShOeEaTeRxX Actually its hydrogen gas... boom...
amethyst8teen 1 year ago
@ToxicEmbrace90 I'm pretty sure it releases hydrogen since it floats and um... explodes...
amethyst8teen 1 year ago
@amethyst8teen Hydrogen doesn't explode dumbass. 70% of earths apnosphere is Hydrogen. Nitrogen is highly flammable.
