Is it good if i import video from my cam into imovie 06 (hd) save the imovie hd file.

then, open dvdsp and do import "imovie hd file" en make a menu and then do build and format to hard disc (.img)?

I've been having great problems when I want to "build/format," it tells me, "A suitable marker could not be found in the required layer break range. See the DVD Studio Pro User's Manual for more information." Does this mean I have to go back to the original FCP timeline and set the chapter markers or in DVDSP? Since it took nine hours to compress, I have been wanting to avoid setting again in FCP, but will do it f there is no option left. Thanks.

I have watched 100s of these tutorials on youtube and I can say that this is the best one I have watched. the only thing you dont mention that would have been helpful was the end jump. which makes the video go back to the menu screen rather then shutting down the dvd. Which it will if you do not set the end jump. other then that great tutorial thanks.

Are you able to exceed the size of a typical DVD with the sacrifice of quality? I have been using an old version of Visual Hub but it lacks nifty menus and Toast sucks ass for DVD creation

I am having issues with the menu button on my DVD it works when I simulate the DVD, but when I burn the DVD the DVD doesn't work the way I want it to or the way it shows in the simulator.

About to pull my hair out with DVDSP. All I want to do is create a simple movie that's playing after the curatain opens using the theater template. But it will not let me. When I drag the file to the "DROP ZONE" it only allows me to create a background, causing the whole theater to vanish and turn into my video. I want it to be inside the theater when the curtain oipens up to reveal the montage. I don't want it to be the main video, I can drag that to the other buttons. Any suggestions?

Hello, thanks for your tutorial, I have an urgent question, I have created 2 dvds with your tutorial, but at the end when I put them in the dvd player and see the movie (with 17 chapters), I can not go to the following chapter with the next bottom(or skip bottom) on the remote control, I have to go to the menu and choose on the menu the following chapter, how can I change the chapter whem im watching the mvie and from the remote control and not form the menu? help me please!!

Yes, you simply draw your button and then assign an asset to it (the asset being a video that you've already added - something within your asset window). Hope that helps!
