I went to the training of the Chinese Police in China, their level is even higher than the Chinese olympic champions. They fight against second class american fighters in Sanda rules. What does it tell us? Nothing, would be a different story with different rules and better oponents...easy wins, nothing glorious in that, it proves the circuit of fights in Sanda is still underdevelloped and there is a very long way until it reaches the one of Muay Thay, in fact, it will never happen

I also wasn't aware that there was much San Shou in the US, other than in Chinese communities. I wonder what arts the American police practiced? I would be surprised if they were San Shou fighters.

These San Shou fighters need to enter the UFC, WEC, or IFL. The out of shape US police aren't much competition. How about going up against Uriah Faber, Chris Horodecki, or Dan Henderson? A much different outcome, for sure.

they would probably love to, since that will be a boost in their career, but they are relatively poor. and FYI, China is much less international than the US, and thus, relatively hard for non-mainstream chinese athelet to get into US held game that are not held in china. The athelets are competitive and has a lot of potential, but the country is not one that really helps all domestic athelets go global.
"Shou" means "hand" (implying a way of fighting). Or "shanda" ("da" means "hit"). "Shan" means "diffuse" or probably "free". Shanshou and shanda are synonym.
the chinese police train in sanshou as a part of their curriculum however for competition they do train full time when the time comes as they have to adapt ther sanshou differently because most police sanshou contains alot of illegal techniques

they would probably love to, since that will be a boost in their career, but they are relatively poor. and FYI, China is much less international than the US, and thus, relatively hard for non-mainstream chinese athelet to get into US held game that are not held in china. It is also the political problem, since the government like to be in control of everything. The athelets are competitive and has a lot of potential, but the country is not one that really helps all domestic athelets go global.

"Shou" means "hand" (implying a way of fighting). Or "shanda" ("da" means "hit"). "Shan" means "diffuse" or probably "free". Shanshou and shanda are synonym.

the chinese police train in sanshou as a part of their curriculum however for competition they do train full time when the time comes as they have to adapt ther sanshou differently because most police sanshou contains alot of illegal techniques
