Beats by Dre are trash headphones. Anyone who owns a pair does so simply because they're unaware of alternatives and pounce on anything endorsed by celebrities. This new HP laptop with "Beats Audio" is trash as well. If you want good audio, grab an external DAC, a small amp a good pair of cans. Laptops don't have good sound built in. If you want a good soundcard, you need a desktop.

ur music has been able to sound like it 'should do' for about 20 years now, you dont need to buy a expensive laptop, besides windows 7 is not ready for anything more then very basic beat making, n vista has serious audio problems so u'd have to run xp or get a mac.

to be honest for just makkin instrumentals at home, you've been able to do that to a pro standard for years at half the price of a pc (not to mention the needed midi controlers n software) with they Akai MPCs!

Plus if you look closely the headphones change colors from black to white throughout the ad. HP spends millions on their "Lets Do Amazing" campaign but can't even pay attention to detail in their own commercials. Pretty sweet beat though.
