I have an auto technica M3 system and I noticed the transmitter is compressing/limiting the audio signal even though I have the volume levels set to a decent value. The compression/limiting effect is actually doesn't seem to be affected by the volume (as I would have expected) as I get pretty heavy limiting effect at lower volumes. The receiver has also has a limiter that is turned off so I concluded the limiting effect comes from the transmitter. Transmitter headphones output works as expected.
Hi, I'm gonna give you all quick review for this audio technica M2/M3. I used M3 before the sound quality it's very soft and smooth, little bit high (less low/bass) so it produce low volume you can even hear your band clearly while playing together. My opinion this in ear monitor not for instruments musician player but it's more suitable for vocalist or back up singer. The price is kind a high compare with the quality. Shure PSM 400 wireless or PSM 600 HardWire is more recommended
