your actually not suppose to do that because inside the screen it contains a poisonous gas, that can be corrosive or can damage tissue as in skin or parts of your body. not good for environment too, can cause acid rain

Unfortunately, some early LCD backlights do contain some traces of mercury, but as newer panels are made, less mercury is being used in them. Some even use LEDs rather than florescent lights.

He wouldn't get zapped by the hammer anyway. Most hammer handles are made of plastic, wood, or hard rubber. Electricity doesn't transfer through those materials.
