Am trying to decide why Vengerov's sound is so much richer and more beautiful than that of Katica Illenyi playing this same music on youtube. Her playing seems equally skilled and has as much feeling, but the actual sound lacks the fullness and richness of Vengerov's. My theory is that his violin is a superior instrument. Are there any violinists out there with thoughts on this?
I love how happy they both are. It's as if they didn't have a care in the world. As if they were playing in a small room with just the four of them rather than in front of a large live audience. Words can't describe their performance. Hopefully one day I'll be half as good at the piano as these guys are at their respective instruments.
Hoooolyyyyy Ssshit. Give this man a medal, or barring that a fucking TV show. If I got super rich and died, I would want Maxim and the other guys to play Mozart's Requiem at my funeral. If that happened, I would come back to life just to cry at my own funeral, and my family would look over and say, "Holy shit, is that Tim?"

lets admit man. Venegerov didnt perform best here. He deserves some dislikes. He nearly shattered all my expectations of him as a virtuoso. Other "less-famous" violinists such as Lendvay, the 100 gypsy orch, and the korean (dont know his name, but surf the web with asian guy, around 770,000 views) had much more profound interpretation, tone quality, and overall charisma. Plus, Venegerov missed some rhytms then and there...
@royboylee missing rhythms = interpretation using synopation = part of being virtuoso. just think of it from another point of view, as it may not sound correct to you, but to him it may have sounded the correct thing to do at the time
